Excellent watch, I got it for specific reasons. I wanted to have a watch that I could wear 24/7 like my previous smartwatch, but I didn't want so many features; I wanted to get away a bit from yet another 'smart device.'
I chose it for the following reasons:
· It is durable and has a long-lasting battery. You avoid having another device that needs charging.
· It has vibrating alarms so I don't disturb my wife when I wake up very early.
· I can see my notifications if I want, although at the moment I don't have it connected to my phone.
· I can see some of my workout data when I go out for a walk/run.
· Excellent MIP screen.
· Counts daily steps.

It is very important that you can use it fully without connecting it to a phone; everything can be set from the watch itself.
The only things I would like are for the connection with the phone to be a bit easier and to have the option to choose from which apps you receive notifications.

Attention to those who want it for running: it doesn't have as many features as running watches. Think of it as running with a mobile app. Also, for more accurate measurements, it needs to be connected to the phone because it uses its GPS.
For me, who runs occasionally and cares about distance and time, it is sufficient. But you don't see, for example, heart rate, oxygen, etc.

I recommend it!

I give 5 stars because it is exactly what I want. First of all, it requires attention because it is not a smartwatch like the others, it has basic functions and is more of a "somewhat smarter" watch.

I will give a general description:
--It has an excellent clarity screen in all conditions and at wide angles. Truly amazing. For the light, it has the option to turn on by twisting the wrist for 1.5" or 3", and it also has a separate button.
-- It seems to have excellent build quality. The strap does not bother my skin and the case does not seem to scratch easily. I will find out soon as I always have it on me and will use it quite hard, it will get dirty with grease and grime and will come into contact with a lot of rubbing, dust, water, oil, etc.

Now for notifications.
-- For me, it has exactly what I want. It provides a short sound notification that is easily noticeable, and it also gives a short vibration. I would prefer to have the option for a longer notification or vibration, but it's not a problem.
-- It DISPLAYS the caller's name and the notification app with partial content. The only issue is that it does not display accented Greek characters, but that's okay. It's basic as we said. For me, it's exactly what I wanted.
--As a negative, I will mention that I cannot mute the phone from the watch as I could with the Amazfit Neo. But okay, this doesn't bother me either.
-- A second negative is that it passes all of the phone's notifications to its own notifications. Here I would like to have some customization through the app.

MEASUREMENTS.
The watch can measure steps and kilometers you run. On its main screens, it has one that says steps and shows you the daily steps and also has a graph of the past six days. On the next screen, it measures kilometers you have done in a workout. Note, these do not include steps. To see the distance you have covered with steps (which I don't care about), you have to go into the app (note, the best app is G-MOVE).

CHRONOGRAPH.
It has an easily accessible stopwatch and countdown timer. I haven't found yet how to set it, but it seems to have options. Then it has a very nice field for activities where it automatically measures pace, shows time, speed, and distance covered.

For those wondering. The watch DOES NOT have a heart rate sensor (but it can connect to an external one), so it does not measure sleep performance, etc.

Another positive is that you can set everything from the watch. Its alarms, notifications, etc.

Finally, for me, the stars will be judged by its BATTERY LIFE. If it is as promised, then we are talking about the real tool and the golden mean for those of us who want something without having yet another smartwatch on our wrist that needs charging every night.

Well, let's clarify who this watch is aimed at and the reasons to acquire this specific watch.
It is not a smart watch. It is therefore a G-Shock with design roots from the famous squares for us old-timers (45+) with some fresh touches.
It is the watch for someone who wants not to charge it and have another device plugged in that will measure their steps and activity, e.g., running if they are a casual runner or walker with a map and connection to Strava and Google Fit through their phone's GPS, and it will notify them of incoming messages from social networks. It has Bluetooth connectivity and an app that I will detail below.
Its pros! MIP screen, which I consider to be the best negative screen available and the best innovation from Casio in recent years! (Imagine Garmin now 8/2024 on the Fenix 8/€900+ using MIP) where you can read it from any angle in any lighting (I have all the negatives in the drawer; thank goodness for presbyopia). It is compact on the wrist, does not get caught on sleeves, and does not "catch" if you are working with your hands in tight spaces; the crystal is recessed for protection against impacts. The strap is good in texture, not particularly soft, with many positions, making it unlikely that it won't fit you. The buttons are plastic but easy to press; you don't have to search for them like on the DW5600. The menu is easy, and the customization can be done both from the device and the app. You can choose between four screens with time or daily or monthly step graphs or world time. We have 200 meters of water resistance plus vibration for alarms and notifications, with a separate front button for night light.
Now let's mention the negatives. First of all, in 2024, it is unacceptable to have such a watch with a battery, even if you change it every two years (if you don't put it in airplane mode and keep Bluetooth on and use it as you wish for about six months!). Of course, it's a marketing issue; if you want solar, you go for the three times more expensive GBD2000, which is a more specialized sports watch, or the equivalent square DWH5600 with heart rate monitoring also at €400, where the competition works against you, and this negates one of the main reasons to get an affordable rugged Casio watch. You might think, the model is from 2021; I will wait for its replacement, and what does Casio do? The awful GBD 300!!! Same module in a round case with nothing new!
So, in the absence of alternatives, you will go for the GBD 200, or if you are interested in the altimeter, you don't want to charge it, and you don't want to spend much (under €80), the new WSB1000 is for you.
App. What can I say! Ten years behind Casio compared to Garmin, Samsung, Xiaomi; I wonder how a giant cannot compete fairly with the "weekly" brands. Overall, it is uncomfortable and very simple; for the first connection with your watch, it is nerve-wracking! Now let's talk about notifications!!! Okay, there is no reason; they are so small on the screen and so minimal, an useless feature, especially when someone calls you; it notifies you once and that's it! While on all other smart devices, it continues until you answer or the caller hangs up.
Now we have another disadvantage for some, it is slow as if it lags to execute commands! It doesn't bother me. So summarizing, if you want a watch with a negative display, you are over 45, a child of the 80s who is emotionally attached to the brand, where you want to see it clearly and check how much you've walked in the rain and shine, you have it, and with the change of the cr2032 battery, get it, it is beautiful and elegant, put it in airplane mode if you want to see the time and everything is fine, a fair purchase, it doesn't break, it doesn't get damaged! 6-10-24 after a month of use, I have to say that I am absolutely satisfied, I am attaching images from the Garmin and Casio apps, as you will see, the measurements are very close even though the Casio does not have GPS

It shows good measurements, good screen, the button for illumination is in the right place, when you download its own application, the handling-programming of the watch is very easy, the only negative thing I found is that the Bluetooth connection takes a while to connect. Purchase price is 160€.
After six months of continuous operation, the battery ran out with the Bluetooth, resulting in not accepting any commands from the buttons and not synchronizing, as I saw in the user manual for power saving. After 14 days and after a phone call with the involved parties, the battery was replaced and a waterproof test was performed. They only charged me for the battery due to warranty. The next time, the battery costs 5€ and the waterproofing cost is 20€.
Finally, after the small inconvenience and delay, I closed the Bluetooth system and use it as a regular watch.
The next purchase will be a watch with only solar charging because in the 10 years that the battery supposedly lasts, it is worth saving 5 battery replacements and waterproofing, which equals 125€ plus the watch's cost of 160€, totaling 285€. So, the watch with solar charging is worth a final cost of 180€, plus the fact that you don't have to open it 5 more times.
