I bought two Athlopaidia one-kilo plates.
Their finish is quite bad; all the other brands I have bought from time to time had a much better one.
Their surface is very rough and pitted, the hole is not perfectly straight, in one spot a little paint was missing, while the worst finish was on the side of the plate with large sharp edges from the mold that were not sanded properly.
I measured the weight of each plate as 1037 and 960 g respectively! A big variation for a one-kilo weight, and the worst thing for me is that they are not the same. If they are put on a dumbbell, the incorrect balance will be noticeable.
Okay, they are weights, we won’t die or anything, but I would never buy this brand again when I can get plates from other brands with much better finish and the same or even lower cost
