Description

The fischer DUOPOWER plastic anchor provides high load-bearing values, consisting of glass fiber-reinforced plastic (nylon) with 2 components and automatically activates the correct function depending on the requirements of the building material:

  • Expansion in solid building materials (e.g., concrete)
  • Folding in hollow building materials (e.g., masonry)
  • Creating a knot in thin-walled building materials (e.g., plasterboard)

The anchor has two anchoring zones: Shaft and base with different expansion, for a variety of applications with high load requirements and difficult building materials such as perforated brick, aerated concrete, or masonry joint.

    I installed them on drywall and the installation was very easy.
    They hold very firmly.
    I preferred them over butterfly anchors because they have metal on the inside, which makes them more durable over time, and in case you overtighten them (up to a point), the threads don't get damaged.
    However, they are quite expensive (compared to the butterfly anchor), which is why I gave 4 stars.

    I don't know why they even exist, for drywall they're useless, if you hang something on wood then they work. Generally, they don't even hold what they claim with the weight. A simple toggle bolt is 10 times better and faster in the job. Also, it seems like 4 out of 10 of these are always useless.
