The device is very large in volume while the arm is short in length. In a BMW E90 I did not place it in the middle of the windshield as in this position it would be on the dashboard and I thought it would create a visibility problem. Additionally, sufficient stability could not be achieved. My opinion was reinforced by two factors:
1) Inside the cup holder there is no material to stabilize the cup
2) The cup holder moves, if plotted on a graph x,y,z along the z axis (front-back).
It was placed at the left edge of the windshield so that the cup holder is located right in front of the dashboard and this limits the front-back movement.
Update 04/02/2026. It was converted into a magnetic phone holder with satisfactory results
Η συσκευή είναι πολύ μεγάλη σε όγκο ενώ ο βραχίονας είναι μικρός σε μήκος . Σε bmw e90 δε το τοποθέτησα στη μέση του παρμπρίζ καθώς σε αυτή τη θέση θα ήταν πάνω στο ταμπλό και θεώρησα ότι θα δημιουργούσε πρόβλημα ορατότητας.Επιπλεον δε θα μπορούσε να επιτευχθεί ικανή σταθερότητα. Την άποψη μου αυτή ενίσχυσαν δύο παράγοντες
1) εντός της ποτηροθηκης δεν κάποιο υλικό το οποίο να σταθεροποιεί το ποτήρι
2) Η ποτηροθηκη κινείτε, αν τοποθετούνταν σε γραφική παράσταση x,y,z κατά τον άξονα z( (μπρός-πίσω).
Τοποθετήθηκε στο αριστερό άκρο του παρμπρίζ ώστε η θήκη του ποτηριού να βρίσκεται μπροστά ακριβώς από το ταμπλό και αυτό να περιορίζει τη μπρος πίσω κίνηση.
