The Biology by Campbell & Reece and their collaborators is a general biology book in the international, highly competitive market, with long-standing international recognition, scientific validity, and impact, especially in American and European universities.

It combines modern biological knowledge with an effort for active learning on the part of the reader. The edition is aimed at students of biological sciences, but also at students from other fields of natural sciences – physics, chemistry, applied mathematics and computer science, geology, agriculture, biochemistry, etc.

This volume is titled Biology – Form and Function in Plants and represents the standalone edition of Unit 6 of the large Biology by Campbell & Reece. It aims to meet the current needs of the Greek academic community for more concise and targeted teaching manuals, while remaining, in any case, a major "reference book" for this particular field.
