The Unitek casing for two M.2 drives allows you to easily clone data and the system to a new drive at the push of a button, without the need to install additional software. The 4 LEDs indicate the progress of the data cloning.
It can be used as a backup tool to protect you in case of failure of the main hard drive. It provides high performance with a dual chipset that supports UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) and TRIM (ATA Data Set Management Command), boosting read and write transfer speeds by an average of 30%.
The casing supports PCIe (NVMe) Gen3x2 SSDs with M-Key and M+B Key and accommodates M.2 drives in sizes 2242, 2260, and 2280. It comes with USB-C and USB-A cables that support the USB 3.2 Gen2 standard with a bandwidth of 10 Gbps. Please note that it does not support M.2 SATA, PCIe AHCI, mSATA SSDs or SSDs from Mac computers.
The built-in fan cools the SSDs and the aluminum casing dissipates heat, while the silicone and aluminum thermal pads enhance cooling. The Secure-Lock design prevents accidental opening of the casing, making it easier to replace drives without additional tools.
