Before I start my review, I have to say two things:

a) I have a lot of experience with chalk paints, I have used Annie Sloan, and the Novocolor that Practiker carries, and I have painted in the country house, a table, a chest of drawers, bedside tables, and a large shelving unit in different phases.

b) I have never written a negative review of a product before, even when I was not satisfied.

But...

With this unacceptable product, which Vernilac calls chalk paint, I have struggled so much, been so frustrated, so disappointed, that I thought I should save other users from such an ordeal.

I don't know what to write first...

First of all, it is so thin that you need 4 coats to say you achieved any coverage. You don't realize it on the first coat, because not everything achieves full coverage on the first. That's why I fell for it and kept going. I realized it on the second, but I had already invested money and so much effort that I didn't want to admit I had been taken for such a fool. And I kept going.... I've been painting for three days now. You can also tell from rinsing the brushes how poor it is in pigments...
But there is something even worse! The pigments that make it up separate immediately. See the photos I am attaching. I was forced to keep a stirrer in the container and stir before every dip of the brush!

But even then! With every brushstroke it left one shade lighter in one place and a darker one elsewhere. And the more I tried to improve it, the worse it got in another spot. On the fifth coat today, and I still haven't achieved uniformity... I am exhausted and so angry that in the end, after all this, I won't even have the furniture I wanted. It turned out clownish!

Even in a photo from a simple mobile phone, the two-tone effect it produces is visible.

Take any other brand. It can't be worse!
