Essential Oil of Mint
The essential oil of mint is obtained by distilling its leaves and flowers, with a fresh and cool aroma. Mint is known as a medicinal herb and is widely used. It has strong bactericidal, virucidal, fungicidal, and anti-infective properties, and is also tonic and stimulating.
An important use of mint essential oil is to relieve headaches.
Usage:
- For body massage: Add 6 drops to 2 teaspoons of avocado oil or almond oil or 20-25 drops to 50ml of avocado oil or almond oil.
- For a relaxing bath: Add 4-8 drops to milk or honey and mix it with the water. Relax for 10-15 minutes in the scented water.
- For room fragrance: Add a few drops to an essential oil burner, adding water to the surface and a tea light candle to the base.
- For compresses: Add 3-6 drops to 100ml of warm or cold water, shake, and soak a piece of sterile gauze. Wring it out and apply it to the area that needs treatment.
Combination Suggestions: The mint essential oil can be combined with lemon, lavender, eucalyptus, and rosemary essential oils. For body use, use almond oil or avocado oil as a base.
