This book is dedicated to the struggle and efforts of these children to pursue their education, but, above all, to those who did not succeed.
Through the descriptions, I aim to reveal the living and studying conditions of the students of that time and to help the younger generation understand that what they take for granted today were, for us back then, dreams, aspirations, and goals, often unattainable.
Regardless of obtaining a degree, some of the students from the South fared quite well in life, while others did less well or not well at all.
Many who did not complete their studies earned money and lived comfortably, while there were also graduates who lived in poverty. But that’s how life is.
