Review this product
  • Paper quality
  • Was it easy to read?
  • Understanding of the subject matter
  • Was it interesting enough?
  • I liked the writing style
  • I would read a book by the same author
  • I would recommend it for reading
  • In general, it is a very good book and I believe that it should be in every engineer’s library for those working in the field of Heating and Air Conditioning.
The author has done very meticulous work, and this is evident.

As for the negative points of the book, I have the following to say:
    a) It could have had fewer references to commercial companies; at times it gives the impression that this publication is sponsored.
    b) It could have had more applications, especially in certain chapters (e.g. Ch. 4 - Calculation of heat losses)

Despite the above remarks, I in no way underestimate the quality of the book.

Additionally, one remark both to the author and to the publishing house (of which I am also a fan): since this publication, in my opinion, is aimed more at field engineers and consultants, it would have been more manageable if it were in two volumes.

I recommend that any colleague who has put it in their "basket" and is thinking about it should purchase it immediately - they will not regret it!

  • It is a bit cumbersome. First of all, it would be helpful if there were numbering for the formulas; you read an example and either you have to memorize the formulas or you have to spend hours searching. Include a reference so we don’t search in vain.
Then you need to have a PC permanently next to you. For example, you read an example in chapter 15, and the example refers you to an appendix that exists only digitally. 860+ pages and they were stingy about printing another 50?
