Honestly, if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe it. I put the dough in the refrigerator for 24 hours along with a sachet as well because I had experienced it in the past and it didn't rise. I threw away the remaining 2 as they were completely useless.
Πραγματικά αν δε το έβλεπα με τα μάτια μου δε θα το πίστευα, έβαλα ζυμάρι στο ψυγείο για 24 ώρες μαζί με ένα φακελάκι κιολας γιατί την είχα πάθει στο παρελθόν και δε φούσκωσε, πέταξα τα υπόλοιπα 2 όπως ήταν, άχρηστη τελείως...
Unfortunately, due to this specific yeast, the loukoumades did not rise. I threw away the other two bags of the package!

Προσπαθώ να κάνω ζύμη για πίτσα δοκιμάζοντας διάφορες συνταγές. Πάντα η ζύμη δεν φούσκωνε και όταν έψηνα το ζυμάρι είχε απαίσια γεύση. Συνειδητοποίησα ότι φταίει η μαγιά. Την βάζω στο νερό και δεν κάνει ποτέ μπουρμπουλήθρες (foaming) που από ότι καταλαβαίνω οφείλεται στο ότι η μαγιά είναι νεκρή. Σιγούρεψα ότι όλες οι άλλες παράμετροι είναι εντάξει π.χ το νερό είναι στην κατάλληλη θερμοκρασία κλπ. Προσπαθώ τόσο καιρό να καταλάβω τι πάει στραβά και βλέποντας τις υπόλοιπες κριτικές συνειδητοποιώ ότι ο κοινός παράγοντας είναι ότι πάντα χρησιμοποιώ αυτό το συγκεκριμένο προιόν. Ενώ είναι πολύ πριν από την ημερομηνία λήξης και το αποθηκεύω σε κατάλληλο χώρο δεν δουλεύει ΠΟΤΕ. Έχω δοκιμάσει γύρω στα 15 σακουλάκια. ΠΑΝΤΑ το ίδιο πρόβλημα.
Loukoumades, same recipe for 20 years...the dough didn't rise, they turned out tight like rubber. Something has changed in the quality of the yeast, it can't be explained otherwise.
Λουκουμάδες, ίδια συνταγή 20 χρόνια...δε φούσκωσε η ζύμη, έγιναν σφιχτοί σαν λάστιχο. Κάτι άλλαξε στη ποιότητα της μαγιάς δεν εξηγείται αλλιώς.
