I am writing this review to set the record straight. Firstly, everyone in the reviews here has no idea what this tool actually is and judged it as a writing pencil, which it obviously is not. It is 100% designed only for technical drawing. Secondly: Once again, on the Reddit community, it was voted by everyone as the most overrated pencil, since it has a bunch of serious design problems that deprive it of control and thus performance, as well as many other issues that reduce its lifespan. If I start describing them, it would take pages. Just to be clear, I am a fan of the company because I have studied technical drawing and have been involved in freehand drawing since the mid-80s. The best mechanical pencil for drawing is the Pentel Graphgear 500, and the Faber Castell lead holders TK4600 and TK9400. All, of course, using graphite from their respective companies. The GG 1000, if the lead didn’t wobble and was stable, if it didn’t have this terrible balance and the problem in the middle where it connects with plastic parts and breaks quickly, it might have been the best. But with so many issues, and even more that I haven’t mentioned, I would only recommend it for collection purposes. For EDC and writing, the best is the Pentel Kerry.
For long writing sessions or for school, go for the Pentel Twist Erase III or Pilot Dr. Grip. For sketching, the best is the Kohinoor 5340 at 5.6mm and the Staedtler 780 (2mm), and if you want charcoal, Red chalk, and the ability to use any dry medium, then the Kohinoor 5340 is the most versatile with incredible control due to its weight (my favorite for sketching with Red Chalk/Dark Sepia). These are the best. The Graphgear 1000 has the advantage of weight (but terrible balance) and its clip that works like a clothespin and at the same time doesn’t hit your hand as much as others when you use the pencil. It is a very comfortable pencil, but those rubber grips and the grip in general really bother me. I recommend it only for drawing, especially if you happen to do technical drawing like we used to, then it’s very good, even with its issues.
Edit: The first Graphgear 1000s I saw had raised rubber on the grip, which made them very uncomfortable. I got another one this year, where the rubber doesn’t stick out and the grip is like night and day!! I’m adding another star because it’s like we’re talking about a different pencil. Also, the lead doesn’t wobble in the new one like in the old ones I have, so guys, it depends on the batch. I hope you get a good one or even better, go buy it from a store so you can check it first!!

Αυτά,είναι τα καλύτερα.Το Graphgear 1000, έχει θετικό το βάρος (αλλά χάλια ισορροπία) και το κλιπ του που δουλεύει σα μανταλάκι και ταυτόχρονα δε χτυπάει στο χέρι όσο άλλα όταν χρησιμοποιείς το μολύβι.Είναι πολύ άνετο μολύβι, αλλά αυτά τα λαστιχάκια και γενικά η λαβή, με χαλάει πολύ. Πήρα άλλο 1 φέτος,που τα λάστιχα δε προεξέχουν και είναι η μέρα με τη νύχτα η λαβή!! Βάζω άλλο ένα αστέρι,γιατί είναι λες και μιλάμε για άλλο μολύβι.Επισης η μύτη δεν παίζει στο καινούριο όπως στα παλιά που έχω,άρα παιδιά,είναι παρτίδες παρτίδες το συγκεκριμένο Ελπίζω να σας τύχει καλό ή ακόμα καλύτερα,πηγαίνετε πάρτε το από μαγαζί,για να το τσεκάρετε πρώτα!!
It is the second one I have purchased. I kept the first one for many years, essentially using such a pencil throughout my entire school. Unfortunately, in both pencils, the part that holds the tips broke, causing the head to sink along with the tip. The first pencil lasted a long time before it broke, while the second one broke quickly because the pencil fell on the floor 2-3 times with the head. The pencil continues to write, albeit with some inconvenience. You can, like me, use glue to prevent the mechanism that holds the tips from sinking (I am referring to the metal thing on the edge of the pencil)
Είναι το δεύτερο που έχω πάρει. το πρώτο το κράτησα πολλά χρόνια, ουσιαστικά με ένα τέτοιο μολύβι έβγαλα όλη την σχολή. Δυστυχώς και στα δύο μολύβια χάλασε αυτό που κρατάει τις μύτες με αποτέλεσμα να κολυμπάει η κεφαλή μαζί με την μύτη. Στο πρώτο μολύβι κράτησε αρκετό καιρό προτού χαλάσει ενώ το δεύτερο το πάθε γρήγορα διότι μου έπεσε το μολύβι 2-3 φορές στο πάτωμα με το κεφάλι. Το μολύβι συνεχίζει να γράφει έστω και έτσι χωρις πολύ ενόχληση. Μπορείτε όπως και εγώ να βάλετε κόλα για να μην κολυμπάει ο μηχανισμός που κρατάει τις μύτες (αναφέρομαι στο μεταλικό πράγμα στην άκρη-άκρη του μολυβιού)

A friend had it and I tried it, so it's worth it.
It is very high quality and the entire body is metallic, even where the fingers touch. Finally, it has a mechanism that hides the tip so it won't break if it falls.
However, be careful, I tried to open it to see the mechanism and the spring flew out, so a user manual would not hurt.
Δεν θα έδινα ποτέ 15euro για μηχανικό μολύβι.
Το είχε ένας γνωστός και το δοκίμασα όποτε αξίζει.
Είναι πολύ ποιοτικό και όλος ο σκελετός είναι μεταλλικός ακόμα και εκεί που ακουμπάνε τα δάκτυλά. Τέλος έχει μηχανισμό που κρύβει την μύτη ώστε να μην σπάσει αν πέσει.
Πάντως προσοχή πήγα να το ανοίξω να δω τον μηχανισμό και το ελατήριο πετάχτηκε απέναντι όποτε Κανένα φυλλάδιο με οδηγίες δεν θα έβλαπτε.

It is the second one I have purchased. I kept the first one for many years, essentially using such a pencil throughout my entire school. Unfortunately, in both pencils, the part that holds the tips broke, causing the head to sink along with the tip. The first pencil lasted a long time before it broke, while the second one broke quickly because the pencil fell on the floor 2-3 times with the head. The pencil continues to write, albeit with some inconvenience. You can, like me, use glue to prevent the mechanism that holds the tips from sinking (I am referring to the metal thing on the edge of the pencil)
Είναι το δεύτερο που έχω πάρει. το πρώτο το κράτησα πολλά χρόνια, ουσιαστικά με ένα τέτοιο μολύβι έβγαλα όλη την σχολή. Δυστυχώς και στα δύο μολύβια χάλασε αυτό που κρατάει τις μύτες με αποτέλεσμα να κολυμπάει η κεφαλή μαζί με την μύτη. Στο πρώτο μολύβι κράτησε αρκετό καιρό προτού χαλάσει ενώ το δεύτερο το πάθε γρήγορα διότι μου έπεσε το μολύβι 2-3 φορές στο πάτωμα με το κεφάλι. Το μολύβι συνεχίζει να γράφει έστω και έτσι χωρις πολύ ενόχληση. Μπορείτε όπως και εγώ να βάλετε κόλα για να μην κολυμπάει ο μηχανισμός που κρατάει τις μύτες (αναφέρομαι στο μεταλικό πράγμα στην άκρη-άκρη του μολυβιού)

A friend had it and I tried it, so it's worth it.
It is very high quality and the entire body is metallic, even where the fingers touch. Finally, it has a mechanism that hides the tip so it won't break if it falls.
However, be careful, I tried to open it to see the mechanism and the spring flew out, so a user manual would not hurt.
Δεν θα έδινα ποτέ 15euro για μηχανικό μολύβι.
Το είχε ένας γνωστός και το δοκίμασα όποτε αξίζει.
Είναι πολύ ποιοτικό και όλος ο σκελετός είναι μεταλλικός ακόμα και εκεί που ακουμπάνε τα δάκτυλά. Τέλος έχει μηχανισμό που κρύβει την μύτη ώστε να μην σπάσει αν πέσει.
Πάντως προσοχή πήγα να το ανοίξω να δω τον μηχανισμό και το ελατήριο πετάχτηκε απέναντι όποτε Κανένα φυλλάδιο με οδηγίες δεν θα έβλαπτε.

I am writing this review to set the record straight. Firstly, everyone in the reviews here has no idea what this tool actually is and judged it as a writing pencil, which it obviously is not. It is 100% designed only for technical drawing. Secondly: Once again, on the Reddit community, it was voted by everyone as the most overrated pencil, since it has a bunch of serious design problems that deprive it of control and thus performance, as well as many other issues that reduce its lifespan. If I start describing them, it would take pages. Just to be clear, I am a fan of the company because I have studied technical drawing and have been involved in freehand drawing since the mid-80s. The best mechanical pencil for drawing is the Pentel Graphgear 500, and the Faber Castell lead holders TK4600 and TK9400. All, of course, using graphite from their respective companies. The GG 1000, if the lead didn’t wobble and was stable, if it didn’t have this terrible balance and the problem in the middle where it connects with plastic parts and breaks quickly, it might have been the best. But with so many issues, and even more that I haven’t mentioned, I would only recommend it for collection purposes. For EDC and writing, the best is the Pentel Kerry.
For long writing sessions or for school, go for the Pentel Twist Erase III or Pilot Dr. Grip. For sketching, the best is the Kohinoor 5340 at 5.6mm and the Staedtler 780 (2mm), and if you want charcoal, Red chalk, and the ability to use any dry medium, then the Kohinoor 5340 is the most versatile with incredible control due to its weight (my favorite for sketching with Red Chalk/Dark Sepia). These are the best. The Graphgear 1000 has the advantage of weight (but terrible balance) and its clip that works like a clothespin and at the same time doesn’t hit your hand as much as others when you use the pencil. It is a very comfortable pencil, but those rubber grips and the grip in general really bother me. I recommend it only for drawing, especially if you happen to do technical drawing like we used to, then it’s very good, even with its issues.
Edit: The first Graphgear 1000s I saw had raised rubber on the grip, which made them very uncomfortable. I got another one this year, where the rubber doesn’t stick out and the grip is like night and day!! I’m adding another star because it’s like we’re talking about a different pencil. Also, the lead doesn’t wobble in the new one like in the old ones I have, so guys, it depends on the batch. I hope you get a good one or even better, go buy it from a store so you can check it first!!

Καταρχήν όλοι στις κριτικές εδώ,δεν έχουν ιδέα,καν τι εργαλείο είναι αυτό και το έκριναν για μολύβι γραψίματος,που εννοείται ότι δεν είναι καν μολύβι για γράψιμο. Είναι 100% σχεδιασμένο μόνο για τεχνικό σχέδιο. 2ον: Για άλλη μια φορά,στη κοινότητα του Reddit,ψηφίστηκε από όλους,ως το πιο υπερεκτημημένο μολύβι,μιας και έχει ένα σωρό σοβαρά προβλήματα στο σχεδιασμό του,που του στερρούν έλεγχο άρα απόδοση, αλλά και πολλά άλλα προβλήματα,που του μειώνουν τη διάρκεια ζωής. Αν αρχίσω να τα περιγράφω,θα πάρει σελίδες. Για να μη παρεξηγηθώ,είμαι φαν της εταιρίας,επειδή έχω σπουδάσει τεχνικό σχέδιο και ασχολούμαι με το ελεύθερο σχέδιο από τα μέσα του 80'. Το καλύτερο μηχανικό για σχέδιο,είναι το Pentel Graphgear 500,και τα lead holders της Faber Castell τα TK4600 καιTK9400. Όλα εννοείται με χρήση γραφίτη από τις εταιρίες τους. Το Gg 1000, αν δεν έπαιζε η μύτη και ήταν σταθερή,αν δεν είχε αυτή τη χάλια ισοροπία και το πρόβλημα στη μέση,που ενώνεται με πλαστικά μέρη και σπάει γρήγορα,θα ήταν ίσως το καλύτερο. Με τόσα θέματα όμως,κι άλλα τόσα που δεν είπα,δε θα το πρότεινα παρα μόνο για συλλογή. Για edc και γράψιμο,το καλύτερο είναι το Pentel Kerry.
Για πολύωρο γράψιμο ή για το σχολείο,τότε πάμε σε Pentel Twist Erase III ή Pilot drGrip. Για σκίτσο,το καλύτερο είναι Kohinoor 5340 στα 5.6mm και το Staedtler 780 (2mm) κι αν θέλετε και κάρβουνο,Red chalk και να μπορεί να πάρει ότι ξηρό μέσο υπάρχει,τότε το Kohinoor 5340 είναι το πιο ευέλικτο με τρομερό έλεγχο λόγο του βάρους του (το αγαπημένο μου για σκίτσο με Red Chalk/Dark Sepia. Αυτά,είναι τα καλύτερα.Το Graphgear 1000, έχει θετικό το βάρος (αλλά χάλια ισορροπία) και το κλιπ του που δουλεύει σα μανταλάκι και ταυτόχρονα δε χτυπάει στο χέρι όσο άλλα όταν χρησιμοποιείς το μολύβι.Είναι πολύ άνετο μολύβι, αλλά αυτά τα λαστιχάκια και γενικά η λαβή, με χαλάει πολύ. Το προτείνω, μόνο για σχέδιο,ειδικά αν τύχει και κάνετε τεχνικό σχέδιο όπως κάναμε παλιά, τότε είναι πολύ καλό, ακόμα και με τα θέματα που έχει.
Edit: Τα πρώτα Graphgear 1000 που είχα δει,είχαν υπερυψωμένα λάστιχα στη λαβή,γεγονός που τα καθιστούσε πολλή άβολα. Πήρα άλλο 1 φέτος,που τα λάστιχα δε προεξέχουν και είναι η μέρα με τη νύχτα η λαβή!!
