I was very happy that I bought solar-powered light bulbs. However, they only work (and they are very beautiful) for a minimal amount of time and then they weaken. I understand this for days without sun and I had taken it into consideration before purchasing them. But even on sunny days when the sun shines on the battery for about 6 consecutive hours and the light lasts for another 2 until sunset, after a short time, a very weak light comes out that I turn them off. From the store, they told me that when they send them to the islands, they don't have a problem, as there is more sunlight. The truth is that if in December the sun has to see them as much as in August, then something is wrong with their design...

Αλλα και μερες με ηλιο που πεφτει πανω στην μπαταρια για καπου 6 ωρες συνεχομενες και φως για αλλες 2 μεχρι την δυση, αφου αναψουν, μετα απο λιγη ωρα βγαινει ενα φως τοσο ασθενικο που τα σβηνω. Απο το καταστημα μου ειπαν οτι οταν στελνουν στα νησια δεν εχουν προβλημα, αφου εχει μεγαλυτερη ηλιοφανεια. Η αληθεια ειναι οτι αν πρεπει τον Δεκεμβριο να τα βλεπει ο ηλιος οσο τον ... Αυγουστο, τοτε κατι δεν παει καλα με τον σχεδιασμο τους...

The basic requirement for their proper functioning is for the collector to be placed in a location with direct exposure to the sun. Thus, as soon as it gets dark, they turn on by themselves (see 17:40 for December in Greece) and have full light for at least 7 hours. On cloudy days, their light will last for a maximum of 2-3 hours. If the collector is not directly exposed to the sun, they provide 3-4 hours of light, and that's being generous (with sunlight), while in cloudy conditions, a maximum of 2 hours. I have had them in my garden for 3 weeks and they have endured plenty of rain and continue to work. Their internal battery can easily be replaced with another rechargeable one. In terms of brightness, they are inferior compared to those with electric power, but a) that is to be expected, and b) they do not have an unpleasant aesthetic result. Next year, I am considering putting them in pairs for better results. They have various programs. They are worth buying.
