The book presents, on one hand, a synthesis of elements of legal theory, methodology, and the philosophy of law, and on the other hand, the fundamental philosophical positions surrounding law and justice.
A perspective is chosen that does not limit itself to a narrowly defined theory of law. On the contrary, the philosophy of law is presented beyond this as an attempt at a comprehensive analysis of the most critical currents of thought in a critical spirit.
Apart from positivism or moralism, the "textual" character of legal discourse and the spectral nature of the demand for justice are emphasized.
The discourse of legal philosophy thus ultimately presents itself as a "palimpsest" etched with the traces of History and simultaneously the scars of the pain experienced by the bodies and souls of people.
