Via del Corso is aimed at adult students and young adults at B2 level. It is an innovative manual in 4 levels, built around a story that takes place in this first volume in Naples, with the aim of enhancing confident communication from the very first lessons. The story sparks curiosity, motivates, engages, moves, creates empathy, and acts as a catalyst for the learning process.
This is an original black comedy narrated through a sit-com and a graphic novel that alternate. The videos and charts are fully integrated into the structure of the lesson and are not merely an additional resource. Students actively participate as they are the ones who choose the outcome of the story. To facilitate the lesson, all video episodes are also available on the audio CD in the form of a radio play. Thanks to this choice, a better use of input, both oral and written, has been made possible, making it more consistent from a communicative and realistic perspective.
Other characteristic aspects of Via del Corso:
- Gradual progress: the needs of students and the requirements of the reference language level have been taken into account.
- Games: in the Student's Book, in the Workshop, in the Teaching Guide, and on the i-d-e-e platform, with many games in gamified contexts.
- Inductive approach: students are constantly invited through guided activities to discover new inputs and formulate and test hypotheses.
- Brief units and inputs: a choice made to have a more flexible lesson, reduce the emotional filter, and keep students' motivation steady.
- Living language: students are exposed to spontaneous and natural dialogues, with interjections, discussion points, and useful everyday expressions.
- Active teaching: problem-solving activities, information gaps, task-based and collaborative types, to engage students more and make them more autonomous.
- Cultural and intercultural elements.
