This particular cooktop is the top choice for anyone who can afford it. It has a built-in extractor in the center with a stainless steel air filter, which is removable and can be washed in the dishwasher. I must inform you that the cooktop can be installed in two ways. Either through the kit to allow air to pass through the internal odor filter (activated carbon) and exit hot through a special grille at the bottom of the cabinet, and every 2 years the odor filter must be replaced, costing between 250 - 400 euros, or as a second option (which I have also chosen) is through a kit (special grille + ventilation pipe) to direct the air from the cooktop directly outside the house via a pipe and protective grille outside the house with a hole that will be made in the wall where the corresponding grille from Miele will be installed. The second method, which is the best and does not require spending money every two years for the odor filter, requires from Miele itself that the maximum distance between the cooktop and the exhaust (pipe) for gas extraction does not exceed 1.80 meters. Because the farther the distance, the more the motors will struggle to expel the cooking gases. Personally, I have the cooktop exactly next to the exhaust at 0.5 meters and I am comfortable. Depending on the temperature you set, it adjusts the suction level (0-3) with setting 3 sucking everything, without it being mandatory to cook with the lid always open, as some other manufacturers emphasize. Due to Miele's 125th anniversary, I also opted for an extended warranty for an additional 8 years, so I have a total of 10 years warranty for anything that happens to the kitchen. It is induction and heats only where you place the cooking vessel. Cleaning it is very easy and can be done with commercial cleaning cream for extractor cooktops (from supermarkets) and not necessarily Miele's. Although I have also purchased the genuine Miele scraper, so far in one year of operation, we have only needed to use it 2 times. Almost every time it cleans with a simple commercial cream and paper, and finally a wipe with a microfiber cloth. Therefore, I recommend it to those who want an excellent induction cooktop, with a built-in extractor and the reliability of Miele, even though it is a bit expensive compared to cheaper options on the market. The suction power of the motors is double compared to similar extractor cooktops from other companies. And I say this because my wife and I, before deciding to buy this specific one, explored the market by looking at and trying out other cooktops from different companies and comparing the operational characteristics of each one separately. The only one that can compete with this cooktop is the expensive series from Bora (not the basic series), which, however, costs around or exceeds 5000 euros. For anyone who buys it and installs it with the kit for direct gas extraction outside (outside the house) and not recirculation inside through an odor filter, they will have peace of mind forever, without spending money every 2 years for the replacement of the internal odor filter (activated carbon) costing 250-400 euros, and essentially over the years, it is like buying the cooktop again. So direct extraction outside and you relax forever, without unnecessary expenses for buying activated carbon odor filters.
