The Kiro Aro Santoku knife has a blade made of German X50 Cr MoV 15 surgical stainless steel and an ergonomic polypropylene (PP) handle. The grooves in the blade make chopping and slicing easier by preventing food from sticking to it. This is a professional, Japanese-style range.
The blade has a hardness of 54–56 HRC. Hand-wash the knife and dry it with a clean cloth; it is not dishwasher-safe. It is not intended for cutting bones or frozen foods. When sharpening is needed, honing steels and sharpening stones are recommended.
