While the store lists it as v1 which refers to AR9271, in the end the adapter is the RTL8188EUS, that is v2/v3, what a shame!! Do they not know what they are selling?

I've had it since 2010 and today it gave up the ghost, it did its job very well!!! I will buy it again in the newer version!!!

You download the drivers for Win8 and install them through the device manager and it works perfectly on Win10!

If this specific one is indeed version 1, it does NOT have a Windows 10/11 driver from the manufacturer, nor do Windows download their own, but the Windows 8 driver works just fine on Windows 10, which I have tested.

It is not version 1 as it claims, as it has a different chipset from version 1. If you do an lsusb via Linux, it is not the Atheros chipset that version 1 should have, so it is not compatible with monitoring mode

Very good product. There are no disconnections and its range is great. The router is two rooms away and the antenna works perfectly. It is just what I needed and affordable.

Personally, I have had the adapter since 2012. I have tested it on many different computers (laptops, desktops) and operating systems. Truly, it is plug and play on all of them, except for Windows 10 where it takes a little effort to find the drivers. The range and speed are very good for its price, which back then I had bought it for 20 Euros.

I have had it for two years and it is completely useless. At first, I thought it was because I was far away from the router. It disconnects very often. Sometimes it goes full speed for hours and sometimes it doesn't increase the speed even though it is properly connected. Lately, my PC freezes at startup (BIOS) and as soon as I disconnect the USB port, the PC starts.

It takes a little effort for Windows 10. There are some tutorials on YouTube. I wouldn't say it's amazing.

One of the worst products I have purchased. Poor reception and constantly disconnects even in strong signal areas (on operating systems winxp, 7, 8 with the latest drivers from the company's website).
In Win Xp, it crashes constantly with a blue screen when you press disconnect!!!
Avoid it and choose another product.

The achievement of the company Plus is to constantly crash your computer for 10 euros and suddenly stop working (from the first day), requiring manual removal and reinstallation of the device. Although it is a well-known company, it is not the best as it sometimes disconnects suddenly and does not have the exact speed it claims. In Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, it requires installation with compatibility for Windows 7 in order to work. But it is quite cheap and reasonable.

It is top in its category and offers great value for money.
For those who have experienced problems, because I see many who say so, maybe the problem lies elsewhere and not with the card, as there are many factors involved. It is the most widely used model of Tp link. The external antenna, of course, is what gives this card an extra advantage. In general, do not choose cards with internal antennas. I have been using it on Win 10 for two years. I have replaced the stock antenna with a larger one (13 dpi). Unfortunately, there is no suitable driver for Win 10. Constant disconnections and blue screens that annoy you. But sometimes not constantly. It's like what the friend below says, sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad.

Stay away, I've had it for 2 years, not stable at all, randomly disconnects on Windows 8+ and yes, I have tried all the drivers. There are no drivers for Windows 10. After manual installation, the windows did not work and I had to uninstall it.

Ideal for those who use Kali, it works perfectly with reaver as if you have alfa networks at 1/3 of the price and you can use any antenna you want!

And with openSUSE Leap or Tumbleweed or Debian, it works great for everyday use.

I don't know how it goes for Windows fans, it would be good for them to change the operating system.

Excellent adapter. Distance from the router about 5-6 meters with one wall and a wardrobe (if it is caught) with full signal 5/5. Easy installation with the disc included in the package.

Easy installation but frequent disconnections. When the computer goes into sleep mode, I completely lose the connection and have to restart.

I have bought it more than 3 times for various machines and also for relatives... the product is awesome at an exceptional and always affordable price (it also has the extra feature that the antenna is detachable) so you can attach any aftermarket antenna you want with more dbi (the factory one is at 4dbi) I have installed an 8dbi one and it really performs... as for those who have Windows 8.1 or 10, the drivers are the same... meaning you can get the drivers for 8.1 from the official website and manually install the files through device management in the control panel... (100% tested on Windows 10)

For its price, it is the best, good signal and it doesn't lag on the internet. I can even catch a signal from my neighbor on the floor above and it works great.

Positives:
- It includes a USB extension cable (male-female) in the box, which I later used and is very useful.
- Despite having Windows 10, it works perfectly with the 8.1 drivers.
- Very easy installation.

So far, there are no negatives, and I hope it doesn't have any (if it does, I will change this review)
