I bought a pentameter a year ago to put behind the TV and so far I am very satisfied! I bought 2 more 3 months ago for other furniture in the living room and the result is impressive! Even if a LED burns out, you won't notice it. I bought them for the different colors they emit, not for the white that they don't emit. The app is very convenient. There is a possibility that I will buy a fourth one in the future. I highly recommend it, especially considering its price!

Υπάρχει πιθανοτητα να παρω και τεταρτη μελλοντικά. Τη συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα, ιδιαίτερα σε σχέση με την τιμή της!
I bought 4 pieces for installing hidden lighting in a new home a year ago. The installation was very easy, the adhesive was very good. The first LED strip was installed early, in April 2022. Within 4 months, its controller broke after a total of 60 hours of use, that is, an average of 15 hours per month. When you had it off, either with the app or with the button on the controller, it remained lit in red and at the same time the colors appeared incorrectly. I thought I had a defective one and replaced it. In August, when I received the replacement, I installed 2 more of these in another area, so 3 strips from sealed boxes were installed, 1 replacement and 2 I had since April. In February 2023, just before 6 months of installation, with the 2 strips in the other area not exceeding 15 hours of use, 2 out of the 3 showed the same problem again. Among the 2 was the strip I had replaced because it was defective! Again, they would not turn off and stayed permanently on one color. The only way to turn them off was to unplug them.
I decided to return them all to get my money back, because I believe that when 3 out of 4 strips show the same problem, all under 6 months and without heavy use, the problem clearly lies with the product. Consumer law states that any problem that appears in a product within 6 months is presumed to have existed from its manufacture, that is, from the beginning and of course requires replacement. Anything else claimed by stores is nonsense and undoubtedly against what they are legally obliged to do.
With my second return, I returned 1 sealed strip that I hadn't even opened, the 2 that broke again (one of which had already been replaced), and 1 that was still working but I wouldn't risk it having the same issue. Besides the hassle, buying the LED strips also caused damage because they have quite strong adhesive. Removing them created the need to repaint the spots where the strip was. Fortunately, I got rid of them because I had no intention of installing and removing them every six months.
These TP-Link LED strips are just the latest in a series of TP-Link products of all kinds that disappoint with their low quality, as they generally have many problems, especially with their networking products.

Αγόρασα 4 κομμάτια για εγκατάσταση κρυφών φωτισμών σε νέα κατοικία πριν 1 χρόνο. Η εγκατάσταση πανεύκολη, η κόλλα πάρα πολύ καλή. Η πρώτη λεντοταινία εγκαταστάθηκε νωρίς, τον Απρίλιο του 2022. Εντός 4 μηνών χάλασε το κοντρόλερ της με χρήση 60 ωρών συνολικά, δηλαδή 15 ωρών το μήνα κατά μέσο όρο. Όταν την είχες στο off, είτε με την εφαρμογή, είτε με το κουμπί πάνω στο κοντρόλερ, έμενε αναμένη στο κόκκινο χρώμα και ταυτόχρονα τα χρώματα εμφανιζόταν λάθος. Θεώρησα πως έπεσα σε ελαττωματική και έκανα αντικατάσταση. Τον Αύγουστο που έλαβα την αντικατάσταση, τοποθέτησα άλλες 2 από αυτές σε άλλο χώρο, τοποθετήθηκαν δηλαδή 3 ταινίες από σφραγισμένα κουτιά, 1 αντικατάσταση και 2 που είχα από τον Απρίλιο. Τον Φεβρουάριο του 2023, λίγο πριν κλείσουν 6 μήνες εγκατάστασης, με τις 2 ταινίες του άλλου χώρου να μην έχουν υπερβεί τις 15 ώρες χρήσης, παρουσίασαν πάλι οι 2 από τις 3 το ίδιο πρόβλημα. Μεταξύ των 2 ήταν και η ταινία που αντικατέστησα επειδή ήταν ελαττωματική! Πάλι δεν έσβηναν στο off και έμεναν σε ένα χρώμα μόνιμα. Ο μόνος τρόπος να τις σβήσω ήταν να βγάλω την πρίζα.
Αποφάσισα να τις επιστρέψω όλες για να πάρω τα χρήματα μου πίσω, γιατί θεωρώ πως όταν έχεις 3 από τις 4 ταινίες να παρουσιάζουν όλες το ίδιο πρόβλημα, όλες κάτω από 6μηνο και χωρίς σοβαρή χρήση, το πρόβλημα το έχει το ξεκάθαρα το προϊόν. Tο καταναλωτικό δίκαιο λέει πως οποιοδήποτε πρόβλημα παρουσιάσει ένα προϊόν εντός 6μήνου, τεκμαίρεται πως το είχε από την κατασκευή του, δηλαδή από την αρχή και φυσικά χρήζει αντικατάστασης. Οτιδήποτε άλλο ισχυρίζονται τα καταστήματα είναι αστειότητες και αναμφίβολα ενάντια σε όσα έχουν υποχρέωση από το νόμο να κάνουν.
Με τη δεύτερη επιστροφή μου, επέστρεψα 1 σφραγισμένη ταινία που δεν είχα ανοίξει καν, τις 2 που χάλασαν ξανά και η μία τους είχε ήδη αντικατασταθεί και 1 που λειτουργούσε ακόμα αλλά δεν θα ρίσκαρα να πάθει τα ίδια. Εκτός από την ταλαιπωρία, η αγορά των λεντοταινιών μου προκάλεσε και φθορές αφού έχουν αρκετά ισχυρή κόλλα. Η αφαίρεση τους δημιούργησε την ανάγκη να βαφτούν τα σημεία που βρισκόταν η ταινία. Ευτυχώς που γλύτωσα από αυτές γιατί δεν είχα σκοπό να τις βάζω και να τις βγάζω κάθε εξάμηνο.
Αυτές οι λεντοταινίες της TP-Link έρχονται να συμπληρώσουν τις τελευταίες σειρές προϊόντων κάθε είδους της TP-Link που απογοητεύουν με την χαμηλή ποιότητα τους, μιας και έχουν σε γενικές γραμμές πάρα πολλά προβλήματα, ειδικά στα δικτυακά προϊόντα της.

It is RGB (as stated on the packaging). This means that the LED strip does not have white, but simulates it using the other 3 colors, resulting in a white that is quite cool towards pink, and there is no possibility to control the temperature of the white.
The brightness of the lighting is also very low and is only suitable for decoration and not for use as regular lighting in a space. Compared to a simple white LED strip of 5 years, the Tapo produces at most 1/5 of the brightness in white.
Furthermore, the strip does not have resin coating, so it is not waterproof at all and does not have any light diffusion (but of course, this also helps in developing lower temperatures).
The installation is very easy, as well as the use with the application. With the installation of the Tapo skill for Alexa, voice control is also very easy.
The response is immediate and if you activate the corresponding option in the application, the transition between colors and on/off is smooth, comparable to Hue and Yeelight.
It is also positive that it has various lighting effects (e.g. lightning, Christmas, Northern Lights, candle, haunted house, etc.).
Negative for me is that while all the parts of the LED strip are white (wires, buttons, strip, etc.), the power supply is black and stands out very badly.

Η εγκατάσταση είναι πάναπλη, το ίδιο και η χρήση με την εφαρμογή. Με την εγκατάσταση του Tapo skill για Alexa, ο φωνητικός έλεγχος είναι επίσης πανεύκολος.
Η ανταπόκριση είναι άμεση και αν ενεργοποιήσεις την αντίστοιχη επιλογή στην εφαρμογή η μετάβαση μεταξύ χρωμάτων και ανοιχτού/κλειστού είναι ομαλή, εφάμιλη των Hue και Yeelight.
Θετικό επίσης το ότι έχει διάφορα εφέ φωτισμού (πχ αστραπές, χριστουγεννιάτικα, Βόρειο Σέλας, κερί, στοιχιωμένο σπίτι κλπ).
Αρνητικό για μένα το ότι ενώ όλα τα κομμάτια της λεντοταινίας είναι λευκά (καλώδια, κουμπιά, ταινία κλπ), το τροφοδοτικό είναι μαύρο και χτυπάει πολύ άσχημα.

I bought a pentameter a year ago to put behind the TV and so far I am very satisfied! I bought 2 more 3 months ago for other furniture in the living room and the result is impressive! Even if a LED burns out, you won't notice it. I bought them for the different colors they emit, not for the white that they don't emit. The app is very convenient. There is a possibility that I will buy a fourth one in the future. I highly recommend it, especially considering its price!

Ακόμα και να καεί κάποιο λεντ δεν θα το καταλάβεις. Τις πηρα για τα διάφορα χρώματα που βγάζει και όχι για το λευκό που δεν βγάζει. Το app , πολύ βολικό. Υπάρχει πιθανοτητα να παρω και τεταρτη μελλοντικά. Τη συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα, ιδιαίτερα σε σχέση με την τιμή της!
I bought 4 pieces for installing hidden lighting in a new home a year ago. The installation was very easy, the adhesive was very good. The first LED strip was installed early, in April 2022. Within 4 months, its controller broke after a total of 60 hours of use, that is, an average of 15 hours per month. When you had it off, either with the app or with the button on the controller, it remained lit in red and at the same time the colors appeared incorrectly. I thought I had a defective one and replaced it. In August, when I received the replacement, I installed 2 more of these in another area, so 3 strips from sealed boxes were installed, 1 replacement and 2 I had since April. In February 2023, just before 6 months of installation, with the 2 strips in the other area not exceeding 15 hours of use, 2 out of the 3 showed the same problem again. Among the 2 was the strip I had replaced because it was defective! Again, they would not turn off and stayed permanently on one color. The only way to turn them off was to unplug them.
I decided to return them all to get my money back, because I believe that when 3 out of 4 strips show the same problem, all under 6 months and without heavy use, the problem clearly lies with the product. Consumer law states that any problem that appears in a product within 6 months is presumed to have existed from its manufacture, that is, from the beginning and of course requires replacement. Anything else claimed by stores is nonsense and undoubtedly against what they are legally obliged to do.
With my second return, I returned 1 sealed strip that I hadn't even opened, the 2 that broke again (one of which had already been replaced), and 1 that was still working but I wouldn't risk it having the same issue. Besides the hassle, buying the LED strips also caused damage because they have quite strong adhesive. Removing them created the need to repaint the spots where the strip was. Fortunately, I got rid of them because I had no intention of installing and removing them every six months.
These TP-Link LED strips are just the latest in a series of TP-Link products of all kinds that disappoint with their low quality, as they generally have many problems, especially with their networking products.

Αγόρασα 4 κομμάτια για εγκατάσταση κρυφών φωτισμών σε νέα κατοικία πριν 1 χρόνο. Η εγκατάσταση πανεύκολη, η κόλλα πάρα πολύ καλή. Η πρώτη λεντοταινία εγκαταστάθηκε νωρίς, τον Απρίλιο του 2022. Εντός 4 μηνών χάλασε το κοντρόλερ της με χρήση 60 ωρών συνολικά, δηλαδή 15 ωρών το μήνα κατά μέσο όρο. Όταν την είχες στο off, είτε με την εφαρμογή, είτε με το κουμπί πάνω στο κοντρόλερ, έμενε αναμένη στο κόκκινο χρώμα και ταυτόχρονα τα χρώματα εμφανιζόταν λάθος. Θεώρησα πως έπεσα σε ελαττωματική και έκανα αντικατάσταση. Τον Αύγουστο που έλαβα την αντικατάσταση, τοποθέτησα άλλες 2 από αυτές σε άλλο χώρο, τοποθετήθηκαν δηλαδή 3 ταινίες από σφραγισμένα κουτιά, 1 αντικατάσταση και 2 που είχα από τον Απρίλιο. Τον Φεβρουάριο του 2023, λίγο πριν κλείσουν 6 μήνες εγκατάστασης, με τις 2 ταινίες του άλλου χώρου να μην έχουν υπερβεί τις 15 ώρες χρήσης, παρουσίασαν πάλι οι 2 από τις 3 το ίδιο πρόβλημα. Μεταξύ των 2 ήταν και η ταινία που αντικατέστησα επειδή ήταν ελαττωματική! Πάλι δεν έσβηναν στο off και έμεναν σε ένα χρώμα μόνιμα. Ο μόνος τρόπος να τις σβήσω ήταν να βγάλω την πρίζα.
Αποφάσισα να τις επιστρέψω όλες για να πάρω τα χρήματα μου πίσω, γιατί θεωρώ πως όταν έχεις 3 από τις 4 ταινίες να παρουσιάζουν όλες το ίδιο πρόβλημα, όλες κάτω από 6μηνο και χωρίς σοβαρή χρήση, το πρόβλημα το έχει το ξεκάθαρα το προϊόν. Tο καταναλωτικό δίκαιο λέει πως οποιοδήποτε πρόβλημα παρουσιάσει ένα προϊόν εντός 6μήνου, τεκμαίρεται πως το είχε από την κατασκευή του, δηλαδή από την αρχή και φυσικά χρήζει αντικατάστασης. Οτιδήποτε άλλο ισχυρίζονται τα καταστήματα είναι αστειότητες και αναμφίβολα ενάντια σε όσα έχουν υποχρέωση από το νόμο να κάνουν.
Με τη δεύτερη επιστροφή μου, επέστρεψα 1 σφραγισμένη ταινία που δεν είχα ανοίξει καν, τις 2 που χάλασαν ξανά και η μία τους είχε ήδη αντικατασταθεί και 1 που λειτουργούσε ακόμα αλλά δεν θα ρίσκαρα να πάθει τα ίδια. Εκτός από την ταλαιπωρία, η αγορά των λεντοταινιών μου προκάλεσε και φθορές αφού έχουν αρκετά ισχυρή κόλλα. Η αφαίρεση τους δημιούργησε την ανάγκη να βαφτούν τα σημεία που βρισκόταν η ταινία. Ευτυχώς που γλύτωσα από αυτές γιατί δεν είχα σκοπό να τις βάζω και να τις βγάζω κάθε εξάμηνο.
Αυτές οι λεντοταινίες της TP-Link έρχονται να συμπληρώσουν τις τελευταίες σειρές προϊόντων κάθε είδους της TP-Link που απογοητεύουν με την χαμηλή ποιότητα τους, μιας και έχουν σε γενικές γραμμές πάρα πολλά προβλήματα, ειδικά στα δικτυακά προϊόντα της.

It is RGB (as stated on the packaging). This means that the LED strip does not have white, but simulates it using the other 3 colors, resulting in a white that is quite cool towards pink, and there is no possibility to control the temperature of the white.
The brightness of the lighting is also very low and is only suitable for decoration and not for use as regular lighting in a space. Compared to a simple white LED strip of 5 years, the Tapo produces at most 1/5 of the brightness in white.
Furthermore, the strip does not have resin coating, so it is not waterproof at all and does not have any light diffusion (but of course, this also helps in developing lower temperatures).
The installation is very easy, as well as the use with the application. With the installation of the Tapo skill for Alexa, voice control is also very easy.
The response is immediate and if you activate the corresponding option in the application, the transition between colors and on/off is smooth, comparable to Hue and Yeelight.
It is also positive that it has various lighting effects (e.g. lightning, Christmas, Northern Lights, candle, haunted house, etc.).
Negative for me is that while all the parts of the LED strip are white (wires, buttons, strip, etc.), the power supply is black and stands out very badly.
Είναι RGB (και αυτό αναγράφεται στη συσκευασία). Αυτό σημαίνει ότι η λεντοταινία δεν έχει λευκό, αλλά το προσομοιώνει με χρήση των 3ων άλλων χρωμάτων με αποτέλεσμα και το λευκό να είναι αρκετά ψυχρό προς ροζ, και να μην υπάρχει δυνατότητα ελέγχου θερμοκρασίας του λευκού.
Η ένταση του φωτισμού επίσης είναι πολύ χαμηλή και κάνει μόνο για ντεκόρ και όχι για χρήση ως κανονικό φωτισμό σε ένα χώρο. Σε σύγκριση με μία απλή λευκή λεντοταινία 5ετίας, η Tapo στο λευκό βγάζει το πολύ το 1/5 της έντασης.
Κατά τα άλλα η ταινία δεν έχει κάλυψη με ρητίνη οπότε δεν είναι καθόλου αδιάβροχη και δεν έχει καθόλου διάχυση φωτός (αλλά βέβαια αυτό βοηθάει και στην ανάπτυξη μικρότερων θερμοκαρσιών).
Η εγκατάσταση είναι πάναπλη, το ίδιο και η χρήση με την εφαρμογή. Με την εγκατάσταση του Tapo skill για Alexa, ο φωνητικός έλεγχος είναι επίσης πανεύκολος.
Η ανταπόκριση είναι άμεση και αν ενεργοποιήσεις την αντίστοιχη επιλογή στην εφαρμογή η μετάβαση μεταξύ χρωμάτων και ανοιχτού/κλειστού είναι ομαλή, εφάμιλη των Hue και Yeelight.
Θετικό επίσης το ότι έχει διάφορα εφέ φωτισμού (πχ αστραπές, χριστουγεννιάτικα, Βόρειο Σέλας, κερί, στοιχιωμένο σπίτι κλπ).
Αρνητικό για μένα το ότι ενώ όλα τα κομμάτια της λεντοταινίας είναι λευκά (καλώδια, κουμπιά, ταινία κλπ), το τροφοδοτικό είναι μαύρο και χτυπάει πολύ άσχημα.

Εύκολη τοποθέτηση, η κόλλα πάρα πολύ καλή και ο φωτισμός εξαιρετικός (ίσως και καλύτερος από την κατά πολύ ακριβότερη ταινία της Philips Hue)!
Είμαι πολύ ευχαριστημένος από το προϊόν και η λειτουργία να ενεργοποιείτε ή να απενεργοποιείται όποτε θέλεις είναι ότι ποιο βολικό!

Edit: Μετα απο ένα χρόνο χρήσης παρουσίασε το ίδιο προβλήμα που αναφέρει ενας αγοραστής εδώ στα σχόλια. Βάζει άλλα χρώματα απο αυτά που διαλέγω μέσω της εφαρμογής. Γενικά δεν δουλεύει καμία λειτουργεία σωστά και δεν μπορεις να το κλείσεις μέσω της εφαρμογής. Εγώ απλά το βγάζω απο την πριζα.
