Dr. Stavros K. Parlalidis is a professional social worker and Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and Social Sciences at Frederick University in Cyprus. He has published a monograph entitled "De-institutionalization of Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities in the Republic of Cyprus" (Power Publishing, 2012) and has edited the publication of the book "The Practical Applications of Social Work in Greece and Cyprus" (Pedio Publications, 2011) as well as the proceedings of a seminar (Youth Social Entrepreneurship and Local Government, NGO Anexlix Publications, 2011).

Additionally, he has published articles in Greek and international scientific journals, has written chapters for collective volumes, has given talks at national and international conferences and scientific meetings, while also participating in several research projects. He focuses on issues of personal and professional development, primarily of young people, aiming at their successful transition to the job market.
