To start with the good, its contemporary design is pleasing to look at, the device is remarkably quiet, and refilling it up with water couldn't be easier. However, it fails in all key parameters.

For a start, it releases cool mist, which means that the humidity quickly condenses and forms dew on the floor. And when I say dew, I mean a giant puddle. This ranges from a major inconvenience for terrazzo floors, to a disaster that will have you replace your wooden flooring. It also renders the humidifier extremely ineffective, since most humidity will condense to water on the floor, rather than to water vapor in the air, resulting in a very slow increase in RH. To get the same effect, you can just pour water on your floor without buying anything. Positioning the device higher up will result in the destroying of whatever furniture it sits on, so it should be avoided as well.

Its hygrometer is far off the readings on both my digital and analog hygrometer, typically a whopping 20% RH higher. It is as if its RH sensor is located inside the machine. This means that the product's auto shut off feature is useless, as it will turn off way before it reaches the truly desired humidity levels.

The UV lamp, the highlight of this product, is completely useless. Instead of submerging it in the water tank, they place a tiny baby UV light higher up the machine, thus allowing bacteria to thrive in the water tank. It is also remarkably small, and the lack of any laboratory test results in the product's marketing confirms that it is purely a marketing trick.

Setting the device up for the first time took 30 minutes, due to the lack of an installation guide or user guide. You have to connect a tube to the pump, and then somehow press the pump to the bottom of the tank with the short tube connected, and you have to figure it out all by yourself. There's also no explanation where to place essential oils, even though they highlight this feature in the very own name of the product.

By all means, I recommend that you avoid this product.

The most important thing for me is that it fills up very easily and I don't need to wet everything.
