Description

Philips XL4901S/GRS cordless phone with Greek menu, compatible with hearing aids, with hands-free, illuminated screen, and call blocking. It features an exceptionally large screen and buttons, many phonebook entries, privacy settings, and useful functions such as volume boost.

Advanced privacy settings

The blacklist blocks incoming calls from specific numbers or numbers that start with specific digits. You can block 4 groups of numbers, with each group consisting of 1 to 24 digits. With the silent mode, you can disable ringtones for specific periods, while with the outgoing call barring, you can avoid unpleasant surprises on your phone bill by blocking calls to numbers that start with specific digits. The anonymous call feature blocks incoming calls from hidden numbers, and the phone will not ring.

Backlit keyboard for easy access even in dark spaces

With the soft orange backlight, you can easily see the keys in low light conditions or during nighttime hours.

Directory listings with two fields for assigning 2 numbers to one contact

Nowadays, most people have multiple contact numbers. With the contact list, you can manage your contacts more easily. Simply save two phone numbers, choosing from three different field names: home, work, and mobile.

One-touch volume boost for extra loud sound

Do you sometimes wish a caller spoke a little louder? With the one-touch volume boost button, you can instantly increase the volume by over 12 db on the handset and over 8 db on the hands-free speaker. Now you can hear every word and sound loud and clear, so there will be no misunderstandings again in the future.

I waited a while to write a review (I've had it for 4 months as of the time I'm writing), it's a good wireless phone with a Greek menu and everything you need in the box, the only negative for me is the few terrible ringtones, the slippery back, it can easily slip out of your hand, also it doesn't have (or I haven't found it, no matter how much I've searched) number blocking, and most importantly the batteries run out quickly, I will replace them with some of larger capacity. Generally, as a phone, I have no complaints regarding calls, screen, keyboard, etc. The illuminated keyboard is important for typing in the dark. It also has a notification LED for missed calls.

Purchased for an elderly hard of hearing person and it turned out to solve the communication problem. How? With the speakerphone. The speakerphone is really at a loud volume. The speaker is very loud on speakerphone. On the positive side, the large clear display (with Greek and time/date etc...), the large illuminated buttons, and its size which is convenient for older users. Also, the button boosts the volume of the conversation partner's voice. However, if someone has an ear problem then the solution is speakerphone.
On the negative side, there are few options for ringtones and the lack of classic traditional ringtones. The volume of the ringtone could have been louder. The device comes with all the accessories (cables, connectors, batteries etc...)

Very good phone, ergonomic with large buttons. The price is a bit steep. Also, when the battery is low, the screen turns off and you have to remove the batteries and put them back in
