The Dako-trap is a ready-to-use insecticidal trap for controlling the olive fruit fly. It attracts male and female insects with solid and liquid food attractants, while its surface is impregnated with deltamethrin. The insect comes into contact with the insecticidal surface and dies a few minutes later.
The trap is ready to hang and is also used to protect edible crops. To set it up, pierce the two marked Xs with an awl or large nail. Hang it inside the tree canopy, approximately halfway up the tree, in a shaded spot, making sure it does not touch leaves or branches and is not exposed to the sun. For areas smaller than 3 stremmas, one trap per tree is recommended. Always read the label and follow the instructions for use and precautions for plant protection products.
