    **MAINTENANCE GUIDE FOR CAST IRON**

The cookware is cast iron and requires the SEASONING process (Polymerization) before first use to become non-stick and prevent rusting.

    **FIRST SEASONING (STEP-BY-STEP)**

    1. WASHING: Warm water and 5-10 ml mild detergent. Scrub well with a sponge.
    2. DRYING: Wipe and heat on low heat for 5 minutes until every trace of moisture evaporates.
    3. OILING: Spread 5 ml vegetable oil with a high SMOKE POINT (e.g., sunflower oil - NOT olive oil). Wipe off excess oil with paper until it looks dry. A thin film should remain.
    4. BAKING: Place the cookware upside down in a preheated oven at 200-210 degrees Celsius for 60 minutes.
    5. COOLING: Let it cool completely inside the closed oven.
    6. REPEAT: Do a total of 2-3 cycles for strong protection.

    **CLEANING AFTER COOKING**

    * Once slightly cooled, remove residues with a spatula.
    * Wash ONLY with warm water. Detergent destroys the SEASONING.
    * Dry IMMEDIATELY by heating for 3-5 minutes on the stove.
    * Wipe with 2 ml oil before storage.
    * ATTENTION: Never soak in water and never use a dishwasher.

    **STORAGE**

    * In a dry place. If other cookware is placed on top, put kitchen paper in between to avoid scratches.

    **RUST REMOVAL (RESTORATION)**

    * Scrub the rust with wire until the gray metal appears.
    * Soak in a solution of water and vinegar (ratio 1:1) for up to 3 hours.
    * Wash, dry completely, and repeat the SEASONING at 210 degrees Celsius for 120 minutes.

    **THE RAW TRUTH**
Cast iron is not an "easy" cookware. If you neglect the drying and oiling process, it will rust. But if you take care of it, its non-stick ability improves with every use due to ongoing polymerization. According to EFSA and FDA standards, cast iron is one of the safest materials for health, as it does not have chemical coatings like Teflon.

  • It's regular cast iron, meaning steel, just for the price don't expect a finish. What I received was extremely rough.
