The 4½ friends consist of three boys, one girl, and a dog. Kale, the founder and leader of the detective agency "Kale & Co.", the twin brothers Steffi and Karsten, Friedel, and their dog, Penta-morphos, get involved in various adventures as they try to solve mysteries and strange cases.

But can dogs talk? Of course, Penta-morphos confirms it for us. Only, people must not realize how smart dogs actually are. Therefore, to catch the perpetrator, Penta-morphos must turn for help to his silent friends, the garden gnomes. Another adventure for the little detectives where their dog, Penta-morphos, proves that he rightfully belongs to the "Kale & Co." team, solving even the most improbable case.
