Review this product
  • A reasonably good tool. I would recommend it as a budget option. It is powerful and works well and quickly in the vertical position. It breaks up concrete flooring with ease.
My rating is based on what the manufacturer claims, and may even be strict. If I were rating it more generally, 3 stars might be too generous.
As for the downsides, which are not few, I'll start with the reasons I took off 1 star and then move on to the more general ones, which are also to be expected from a cheap tool.
    1. In upright operation (vertical surfaces), the chisel has trouble resetting whenever you release the trigger; no matter how hard you press, it won't return so the tool can work (it needs a tap). Given that the tool weighs 20+ kilos, this is tiring and frustrating.
    2. The oil needs to be checked earlier than the 40–50 hours stated by the manufacturer.
    3. The tool's metal case is flimsy.
    4. Ergonomics. It weighs 20+ kilos and has no anti-vibration system, so it isn't all that precise or easy to control; safety glasses are also essential. During prolonged use, the user gets quite fatigued.
    5. The noise (as with all such tools) makes using it without earplugs inadvisable.
