With the new Series "Interpretative of Sacred Texts," the author Protopresbyter Spyridon Lontos, a PhD candidate in Theology, aims to convey to everyone the hidden theological and meaningful fullness of the texts of the Holy Scriptures, particularly those used in the liturgical life of our Orthodox Church.

The fifth book in the Series "Interpretative of Sacred Texts" is titled "The Dormition of the Theotokos." The author engages in the interpretation of the biblical readings of the feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos, which the Orthodox Church celebrates on August 15th.

Specifically, he presents the biblical readings of the Vespers, the Matins, and the Divine Liturgy of the feast in the original text as well as in a translation into modern Greek, followed by the interpretative analysis of each. The ultimate goal of the book is to make these texts more accessible to those who do not have the necessary training for their understanding.
