Excellent Bokeh, top optical performance
In the era of mirrorless cameras, the balance between performance and size is even more critical. There is an increasing demand for compact, high-performance, high-quality lenses. SIGMA responds to this call with the I Contemporary series of full-frame, mirrorless lenses.
Available for L-Mount and Sony E mount, DG indicates full-frame sensor coverage and DN indicates exclusive mirrorless design. The I series represents a new choice: Premium, Compact Primes that have a sleek appearance, with impressive specifications and optical performance.
There are now two 24mm options in the I series. The 24mm is a very popular wide-angle focal length and each of these lenses has its own advantages and use cases at this focal length. The new 24mm F2 DG DN | C is an addition to the I series lens group with a fast f/2 aperture, along with the 35mm f/2 and 65mm f/2 lenses.
The 24mm f/2 DG DN | C is the larger of the two lenses, due to the optical design requirements for creating an extremely sharp, wide-angle prime lens with a faster maximum aperture. The faster maximum aperture of f/2 and overall optical performance make this lens a natural choice for astrophotography, along with landscapes, cityscapes, and street photography, especially in low-light indoor settings and night shots.
The combination of the 24mm f/2, 35mm f/2, and 65mm f/2 primes offers consistently fast apertures at three classic focal lengths for cinema and photography.
