The managed Layer 3 Lancom XS-5110F Switch connects access switches and can be deployed either in the WAN topology or between the network core and access switches. It features 8 10 Gbps SFP+ optical ports and 2 backward-compatible 10 Gbps multi-gigabit Ethernet ports. Layer 3 features include a DHCP server, IP address management and route configuration, while dynamic routing adjusts traffic paths when network conditions change.

With LANCOM Failsafe Stacking, multiple physical switches operate as a single logical unit, and a new switch automatically receives the settings from the stack’s master switch. Port access is controlled via IEEE 802.1X or ACLs. SSH, SSL and SNMPv3 are supported for remote management, while TACACS+ provides authentication, authorization and accounting.
