The book is aimed at those involved in the field of viticulture, such as agronomists, oenologists, students, vine growers, etc., hoping to contribute to the qualitative enhancement of vine products, to the benefit of grape growers and the National Economy.
The book contains documented contemporary Greek and international knowledge presented based on over 40 years of experience in the field, at both academic and practical levels. It also includes data from research in the experimental vineyards of the Viticulture Laboratories of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.) and the Agricultural University of Athens (A.U.A.), as well as from vineyards of the mainland and island regions.
Among the grape growers mentioned are Sotiris Mittis (Nea Mesimvria, Thessaloniki), Panagiotis and Stelios Boutzis (Agios Pavlos, Chalkidiki), Nikolaos Koufogiannis (Diminio, Volos), Dimitris Katsikas, Nikolaos Kourtis, Grigoris Trogadis (Korinthos, from the wine-producing zone of Nemea and mainly table grape Sultanina zone), Ktima Karra (Neos Marmaras, Chalkidiki), Ktima Gerovassiliou (Epanomi, Thessaloniki), and the Triantafyllopoulos Vineyards (Kos).
