In my architecture, the 6000N is situated between a Synology 415Play (music server) connected via WIFI and the final (power amplifier). I use the Play Fi app for Android as a renderer.

    The app is terrible.
The 6000N regularly has issues with software downloads. If you want to listen to music and there is a software update, you're out of luck! The process takes an unknown amount of time... it often gets interrupted, the app freezes, the device reboots, the download server hangs (the progress of the download is terrible in every sense of the word). Simply put, if you are a listener who doesn't turn on the device regularly like I do, the likelihood of encountering a software update is high. Then you WON'T be able to listen to music, you'll get frustrated once again, and the only way to react to this frustration is to write a review like I am doing now to spare others from the same ordeal.
I don't know how good the device is with another configuration; mine is necessarily wireless (wifi) and there is a serious issue there.

  • Purchased almost since its release, a very good audio component in my setup. Absolutely satisfied with the sound, the accompanying app, and the connectivity options. It is paired with a Naim Supernait via optical and AUX (where it works 99.9% of the time). I can't ask for anything more in terms of sound quality for music sessions and everyday listening. The app took a bit of getting used to at first but works properly on Android, iPhone, and iPad.
    5/5!

update 7/2026: almost 6 years after purchase, the device is exemplary. Its only drawback is its app. Its sound is unbeatable for its price. Still hard to replace even today.
