I have changed 6-7 different brands over the last 8 years. This one and another one, as far as I know, are among the few that last over 30,000 liters of water. It removes odors, and from tests I did, it also removes chlorine.
It is recommended to replace it every 6 months or when it exceeds 10,000 gallons (~35,000 liters).
