HOW IT WORKS: The motor rotates the small pulley, which rotates the large one with the belt. The size difference between the pulleys indicates that the large pulley rotates slower than the motor and also rotates the reflectors. When the reflectors are behind the LED lamp, you can see the light from the lamp itself and each reflector reflects the light of the lamp as it is directly opposite your eyes. The mechanism performs a series of four quick flashes. When the reflectors are in front of the LED lamp, the lamp and its reflections are hidden from you. No matter which side of the light you stand on, you see the four quick flashes and then darkness, again and again.
