My father had them many years ago, and I repurchased them because I wanted a cheap pair for backup/outside/mobile use. I have the AKG K371 on my PC. As mentioned in other reviews, the volume is indeed low, but in terms of sound, they are quite decent for their cost. The bass is high, the mids are fine, but they lose quite a bit in detail (highs), which can easily be corrected with EQ. They have quite good volume on my sound card, and I assume that with some amplifier, they might be much better. As for the build quality, they are mainly plastic, relatively weak, but very lightweight, and the ear pads are fabric, which for me is a big bonus since they are more durable, but in the summer, they might be warm if someone sweats easily; it could be a problem. The cable is durable, 3 meters long, comes with a simple headphone jack, and also has an extra adapter for a large jack, but during movement, the cable makes noise, although for me, it's not an issue. I should add that at first, they were tight, but over time, they stopped being bothersome. Overall, for the cost, they are very good.

Στην κάρτα ήχου μου έχουν αρκετά καλή ένταση και υποθέτω πως με κάποιο ενισχυτή παίζει να είναι πολύ καλύτερα.
Όσο για την κατασκευή, είναι κυρίως πλαστικά, σχετικά αδύναμα, αλλά πολύ ελαφριά, και τα μαξιλαράκια είναι υφασμάτινα, που για μένα είναι μεγάλο μπόνους εφόσον είναι πιο ανθεκτικά, αλλά το καλοκαίρι θα είναι ζεστά αν υδρώνει κάποιος εύκολα ίσως του είναι πρόβλημα. Το καλώδιο ανθεκτικό, είναι 3 μέτρα, έρχεται με απλό headphone jack και έχει και έξτρα adapter για μεγάλο jack, όμως στις κινήσεις το καλώδιο ακούγεται, αν και για μένα δεν είναι πρόβλημα. Να προσθέσω πως στην αρχή με έσφιγκαν αλλά με τον καιρό σταμάτησαν να ενοχλούν. Γενικά για το κόστος είναι πολύ καλά.

I have had these headphones for 10 years (maybe even longer) to listen to music from my PC, laptop, mobile phone, and occasionally from the TV or 5.1 amplifier.
The positives
+ Overall, the sound is satisfactory. No one will say "wow, what am I hearing," but you will definitely not be disappointed. In my headphones, the plug is gold-plated, but I can't remember if I changed it myself or if it came that way, because in the new headphones, the plug is plastic.
+ The very long cable is very convenient, and if you don't need it, you can wrap it up with a tie. It's better to have extra cable than to be missing it!
+ They don't have enough volume on their own. They need help from an external amplifier. There is a big difference in volume and what you hear when they are directly plugged into the sound card/TV/mobile phone compared to an amplifier. Personally, I have them permanently plugged into a portable FiiO amplifier, and they have no problems or distortions even at 100% volume with or without bass boost. Especially with the FiiO's bass boost activated, the headphones "rock" with a moderate dry "rumble" that is not annoying. You can feel your earlobe vibrating to the beat of the music!
+ They fit very well on the head, even on large heads like mine. They are quite lightweight and don't cause fatigue. The pads embrace the entire ear without pressing on the lobes or wings.
+ Durability! After so many years, they still work perfectly! They haven't cracked, broken, or malfunctioned. Excellent!
The negatives
- They are made of cheap plastic! You can hear them creak with the slightest movement (literally) of the head or jaw! You can hear them creak even at high volumes. It's disappointing to annoying.
- They lack very high frequencies. I couldn't manage to make the highs stand out, at least with Spotify's EQ (where I listen to music). I didn't really try too hard because personally, I'm not crazy about high frequencies, and I prefer the low-mid frequencies with a "pinch of highs." However, this will bother those who have the opposite preference from mine.
- After so many years, I had to replace the pads. Unfortunately, they cost as much as buying new headphones. From China, they cost 11.5 euros + 3.5 euros for shipping. So, you might as well get new ones!
Conclusion
They are value for money. They won't amaze you, but for their price, they are more than decent. However, don't expect them to work well when plugged directly into a laptop or mobile phone. The volume will be lacking. Phillips, on the other hand, is honest about this. They sell them as "Balanced Sound for TV listening," and for "TV listening," you don't need high volume. However, when plugged into an amplifier, they do a decent job. For those who are not interested in high volume, they will find them very satisfactory out of the box.
Έχω τα ακουστικά 10 χρόνια (ίσως και περισσότερο) για να ακούω μουσική από το PC, Laptop, κινητό και πιο σπάνια από την τηλεόραση ή τον 5.1 ενισχυτή.
Τα θετικά
+ Ο ήχος τους σε γενικές γραμμές είναι ικανοποιητικός. Δεν θα πει κανένας "πω πω τί ακούω" αλλά σε καμμία περίπτωση δεν θα απογοητευτεί. Στα δικά μου ακουστικά το βύσμα είναι επίχρυσο, αλλά δεν θυμάμαι αν το άλλαξα εγώ ή είχε έρθει έτσι, γιατί στα νέα ακουστικά το βύσμα είναι πλαστικό.
+ Το πολύ μακρύ καλώδιο είναι πολύ βολικό και αν δεν το χρειάζεσαι το μαζεύεις με ένα δετικό. Καλύτερα να περισσεύει, παρά να σου λείπει!
+ Ένταση δεν έχουν από μόνα μους. Θέλουν βοήθεια από εξωτερικό ενισχυτή. Έχει μεγάλη διαφορά η ένταση αλλά και το τί ακούς όταν είναι "καρφωμένα" απ'ευθείας στην κάρτα ήχου/τηλεόραση/κινητό σε σύγκριση με έναν ενισχυτή. Προσωπικά τα έχω "μόνιμα καρφωμένα" πίσω από έναν φορητό ενισχυτή της FiiO και δεν έχουν κανένα απολύτως πρόβλημα ή παραμορφώσεις ακόμα και στο 100% με ή χωρίς bass boost. Ειδικά με το bass boost του FiiO ενεργοποιημένο τα ακουστικά "τα σπάνε" με ένα μέτριο ξερό "γαργάρισμα" που δεν είναι όμως ενοχλητικό. Νιώθεις το λοβό του αυτιού σου να δονείται στη μπότα της μουσικής!
+ Κάθονται πολύ καλά στο κεφάλι, ακόμα και σε μεγάλα κεφάλια σαν το δικό μου. Είναι αρκετά ελαφριά και δεν κουράζουν. Τα δε pads, αγκαλιάζουν ολόκληρο το αυτί, χωρίς να πιέζουν λοβούς ή φτερά.
+ Σκυλιά! Μετά από τόσα χρόνια και ακόμα παίζουν μια χαρά! Δεν έχουν ραγίσει, σπάσει, χαλάσει. Μια χαρά!
Τα αρνητικά
- Πλαστικούρα του κερατα! Ακούς να τρίζουν με την παραμικρή κίνηση (κυριολεκτικά) του κεφαλιού ή του σαγονιού!. Τα ακούς να τρίζουν ακόμα και σε μεγάλες εντάσεις. Απογοητευτικό εώς ενοχλητικό.
- Τους λείπουν οι πολύ υψηλές συχνότητες. Δεν κατάφερα, τουλάχιστον με το EQ του Spotify (απ'όπου και ακούω μουσική) να κάνω τις υψηλές να ξεχωρίσουν. Δεν το πολυέψαξα όμως, γιατί προσωπικά δεν με τρελαίνουν οι ψηλές συχνότητες και προτιμώ τις χαμηλομεσαίες συχνότητες με "μία πρέζα υψηλών". Θα ενοχλήσει όμως όσους τις αντίθετες προτιμήσεις από τις δικές μου.
- Μετά από τόσα χρόνια έπρεπε ν'αλλάξω τα pads. Δυστυχώς κοστίζουν όσο κάνουν τα ακουστικά καινούργια. Από Κίνα 11,5 ευρώ + 3,5 ευρώ μεταφορικά. Οπότε παίρνεις καινούργια!
Συμπέρασμα
Είναι value for money. Δεν θα σε ενθουσιάσουν, αλλά στα λεφτά τους είναι κάτι παραπάνω από τίμια. Μην περιμένετε όμως να τα "καρφώσετε" στο laptop ή στο κινητό και να δουλέψουν καλά. Η ένταση θα λείπει. H Phillips βέβαια είναι τίμια σε αυτό. Τα πουλάει ως "Balanced Sound for TV listening" και για "TV listening" δεν χρειάζεσαι μεγάλη ένταση. Πίσως, όμως από έναν ενισχυτή, κάνουν αξιοπρεπή δουλειά. Σε όσους, όμως, δεν τους ενδιαφέρει η μεγάλη ένταση, θα τα βρουν πολύ ικανοποιητικά out of the box.

I have had these headphones for 10 years (maybe even longer) to listen to music from my PC, laptop, mobile phone, and occasionally from the TV or 5.1 amplifier.
The positives
+ Overall, the sound is satisfactory. No one will say "wow, what am I hearing," but you will definitely not be disappointed. In my headphones, the plug is gold-plated, but I can't remember if I changed it myself or if it came that way, because in the new headphones, the plug is plastic.
+ The very long cable is very convenient, and if you don't need it, you can wrap it up with a tie. It's better to have extra cable than to be missing it!
+ They don't have enough volume on their own. They need help from an external amplifier. There is a big difference in volume and what you hear when they are directly plugged into the sound card/TV/mobile phone compared to an amplifier. Personally, I have them permanently plugged into a portable FiiO amplifier, and they have no problems or distortions even at 100% volume with or without bass boost. Especially with the FiiO's bass boost activated, the headphones "rock" with a moderate dry "rumble" that is not annoying. You can feel your earlobe vibrating to the beat of the music!
+ They fit very well on the head, even on large heads like mine. They are quite lightweight and don't cause fatigue. The pads embrace the entire ear without pressing on the lobes or wings.
+ Durability! After so many years, they still work perfectly! They haven't cracked, broken, or malfunctioned. Excellent!
The negatives
- They are made of cheap plastic! You can hear them creak with the slightest movement (literally) of the head or jaw! You can hear them creak even at high volumes. It's disappointing to annoying.
- They lack very high frequencies. I couldn't manage to make the highs stand out, at least with Spotify's EQ (where I listen to music). I didn't really try too hard because personally, I'm not crazy about high frequencies, and I prefer the low-mid frequencies with a "pinch of highs." However, this will bother those who have the opposite preference from mine.
- After so many years, I had to replace the pads. Unfortunately, they cost as much as buying new headphones. From China, they cost 11.5 euros + 3.5 euros for shipping. So, you might as well get new ones!
Conclusion
They are value for money. They won't amaze you, but for their price, they are more than decent. However, don't expect them to work well when plugged directly into a laptop or mobile phone. The volume will be lacking. Phillips, on the other hand, is honest about this. They sell them as "Balanced Sound for TV listening," and for "TV listening," you don't need high volume. However, when plugged into an amplifier, they do a decent job. For those who are not interested in high volume, they will find them very satisfactory out of the box.
Έχω τα ακουστικά 10 χρόνια (ίσως και περισσότερο) για να ακούω μουσική από το PC, Laptop, κινητό και πιο σπάνια από την τηλεόραση ή τον 5.1 ενισχυτή.
Τα θετικά
+ Ο ήχος τους σε γενικές γραμμές είναι ικανοποιητικός. Δεν θα πει κανένας "πω πω τί ακούω" αλλά σε καμμία περίπτωση δεν θα απογοητευτεί. Στα δικά μου ακουστικά το βύσμα είναι επίχρυσο, αλλά δεν θυμάμαι αν το άλλαξα εγώ ή είχε έρθει έτσι, γιατί στα νέα ακουστικά το βύσμα είναι πλαστικό.
+ Το πολύ μακρύ καλώδιο είναι πολύ βολικό και αν δεν το χρειάζεσαι το μαζεύεις με ένα δετικό. Καλύτερα να περισσεύει, παρά να σου λείπει!
+ Ένταση δεν έχουν από μόνα μους. Θέλουν βοήθεια από εξωτερικό ενισχυτή. Έχει μεγάλη διαφορά η ένταση αλλά και το τί ακούς όταν είναι "καρφωμένα" απ'ευθείας στην κάρτα ήχου/τηλεόραση/κινητό σε σύγκριση με έναν ενισχυτή. Προσωπικά τα έχω "μόνιμα καρφωμένα" πίσω από έναν φορητό ενισχυτή της FiiO και δεν έχουν κανένα απολύτως πρόβλημα ή παραμορφώσεις ακόμα και στο 100% με ή χωρίς bass boost. Ειδικά με το bass boost του FiiO ενεργοποιημένο τα ακουστικά "τα σπάνε" με ένα μέτριο ξερό "γαργάρισμα" που δεν είναι όμως ενοχλητικό. Νιώθεις το λοβό του αυτιού σου να δονείται στη μπότα της μουσικής!
+ Κάθονται πολύ καλά στο κεφάλι, ακόμα και σε μεγάλα κεφάλια σαν το δικό μου. Είναι αρκετά ελαφριά και δεν κουράζουν. Τα δε pads, αγκαλιάζουν ολόκληρο το αυτί, χωρίς να πιέζουν λοβούς ή φτερά.
+ Σκυλιά! Μετά από τόσα χρόνια και ακόμα παίζουν μια χαρά! Δεν έχουν ραγίσει, σπάσει, χαλάσει. Μια χαρά!
Τα αρνητικά
- Πλαστικούρα του κερατα! Ακούς να τρίζουν με την παραμικρή κίνηση (κυριολεκτικά) του κεφαλιού ή του σαγονιού!. Τα ακούς να τρίζουν ακόμα και σε μεγάλες εντάσεις. Απογοητευτικό εώς ενοχλητικό.
- Τους λείπουν οι πολύ υψηλές συχνότητες. Δεν κατάφερα, τουλάχιστον με το EQ του Spotify (απ'όπου και ακούω μουσική) να κάνω τις υψηλές να ξεχωρίσουν. Δεν το πολυέψαξα όμως, γιατί προσωπικά δεν με τρελαίνουν οι ψηλές συχνότητες και προτιμώ τις χαμηλομεσαίες συχνότητες με "μία πρέζα υψηλών". Θα ενοχλήσει όμως όσους τις αντίθετες προτιμήσεις από τις δικές μου.
- Μετά από τόσα χρόνια έπρεπε ν'αλλάξω τα pads. Δυστυχώς κοστίζουν όσο κάνουν τα ακουστικά καινούργια. Από Κίνα 11,5 ευρώ + 3,5 ευρώ μεταφορικά. Οπότε παίρνεις καινούργια!
Συμπέρασμα
Είναι value for money. Δεν θα σε ενθουσιάσουν, αλλά στα λεφτά τους είναι κάτι παραπάνω από τίμια. Μην περιμένετε όμως να τα "καρφώσετε" στο laptop ή στο κινητό και να δουλέψουν καλά. Η ένταση θα λείπει. H Phillips βέβαια είναι τίμια σε αυτό. Τα πουλάει ως "Balanced Sound for TV listening" και για "TV listening" δεν χρειάζεσαι μεγάλη ένταση. Πίσως, όμως από έναν ενισχυτή, κάνουν αξιοπρεπή δουλειά. Σε όσους, όμως, δεν τους ενδιαφέρει η μεγάλη ένταση, θα τα βρουν πολύ ικανοποιητικά out of the box.

The headphones are the most suitable for use by an elderly person with hearing problems, so that they can watch television without disturbing the whole house with the volume! If you also have a TV that may not mute the sound coming from its speaker when the headphone jack is plugged in, then the combination is unbeatable. The house is quiet and we can simultaneously watch our shows at the volume we want. The headphones offer a long cable with a volume control for the person wearing them. The sound quality in this case is not important for the intended use, but even so, it is very decent.
Τα ακουστικά είναι τα πλέον κατάλληλα για χρήση από ηλικιωμένο με προβλήματα ακοής, προκειμένου να μπορεί να βλέπει τηλεόραση χωρίς να ξεσηκώνει όλο το σπίτι με την ένταση! Αν έχετε και τηλεόραση, η οποία μπορεί να μην απομονώνει τον ήχο που ακούγεται από το ηχείο της, όταν είναι το jack των ακουστικών στην υποδοχή headphones, τότε ο συνδυασμός είναι αχτύπητος. Και ησύχασε το σπίτι και εμείς παρακολουθούμε ταυτόχρονα τις εκπομπές στην ένταση που θέλουμε. Τα ακουστικά προσφέρουν μεγάλο καλώδιο με ρυθμιστικό έντασης για αυτόν που τα φοράει. Η ποιότητα του ήχου στην προκειμένη περίπτωση δεν ενδιαφέρει για την χρήση που γίνεται, αλλά και πάλι είναι πολύ αξιοπρεπής.
My father had them many years ago, and I repurchased them because I wanted a cheap pair for backup/outside/mobile use. I have the AKG K371 on my PC. As mentioned in other reviews, the volume is indeed low, but in terms of sound, they are quite decent for their cost. The bass is high, the mids are fine, but they lose quite a bit in detail (highs), which can easily be corrected with EQ. They have quite good volume on my sound card, and I assume that with some amplifier, they might be much better. As for the build quality, they are mainly plastic, relatively weak, but very lightweight, and the ear pads are fabric, which for me is a big bonus since they are more durable, but in the summer, they might be warm if someone sweats easily; it could be a problem. The cable is durable, 3 meters long, comes with a simple headphone jack, and also has an extra adapter for a large jack, but during movement, the cable makes noise, although for me, it's not an issue. I should add that at first, they were tight, but over time, they stopped being bothersome. Overall, for the cost, they are very good.
Τα είχε πριν πολλά χρόνια ο πατέρας μου και τα ξαναγόρασα γιατί ήθελα ένα φθηνό ζευγάρι για ρεζέρβα/έξω/κινητό. Στο PC έχω τα AKG K371.
Όπως γράφουν και στα υπόλοιπα reviews, όντως η ένταση είναι χαμηλή, αλλά από θέμα ήχου είναι πολύ κομπλέ για το κόστος τους. Το μπάσο είναι υψηλό, τα mids είναι κομπλέ, αλλά στη λεπτομέρια (highs) χάνουν αρκετά, κάτι που μπορεί να διορθωθεί εύκολα με EQ. Στην κάρτα ήχου μου έχουν αρκετά καλή ένταση και υποθέτω πως με κάποιο ενισχυτή παίζει να είναι πολύ καλύτερα.
Όσο για την κατασκευή, είναι κυρίως πλαστικά, σχετικά αδύναμα, αλλά πολύ ελαφριά, και τα μαξιλαράκια είναι υφασμάτινα, που για μένα είναι μεγάλο μπόνους εφόσον είναι πιο ανθεκτικά, αλλά το καλοκαίρι θα είναι ζεστά αν υδρώνει κάποιος εύκολα ίσως του είναι πρόβλημα. Το καλώδιο ανθεκτικό, είναι 3 μέτρα, έρχεται με απλό headphone jack και έχει και έξτρα adapter για μεγάλο jack, όμως στις κινήσεις το καλώδιο ακούγεται, αν και για μένα δεν είναι πρόβλημα. Να προσθέσω πως στην αρχή με έσφιγκαν αλλά με τον καιρό σταμάτησαν να ενοχλούν. Γενικά για το κόστος είναι πολύ καλά.
I do not recommend them for purchase, even though I am a loyal fan of Philips and have acquired their products in previous years. I bought these specifically for my mother to listen to at night, but we realized that the volume is not correct at all. We even changed 4 different televisions, and even on a mobile phone, the volume is very low.
Δεν τα προτείνω για αγορά αν και πιστός οπαδός της Philips σε ότι και αν είχα αποκτήσει τα προηγούμενα χρόνια. τα συγκεκριμένα τα αγόρασα για να ακούει η μητέρα μου το βράδυ αλλά διαπιστώσαμε ότι η ένταση δεν είναι καθόλου σωστή. και αλλάξαμε 4 διαφορετικές τηλεοράσεις, ακόμα και σε κινητό η ένταση είναι πολύ χαμηλή.
Excellent value for money, I bought them because the sound quality they produce is exceptional and because I didn't want them to have noise cancellation.
