it did the job we wanted (connecting headphones with 3.5mm jack to the TV's optical port BUT 1) with the volume at max you could call it "somewhat loud" and 2) the bass has to be at max otherwise the sound quality drops a lot

For its price, it's excellent. It connected with an optical input and RCA output to a Home Cinema. Its sound is very good. There is bass control from the device. The USB port it has can be powered from the TV since it doesn't have a power supply. The package includes an optical cable and a USB cable for power either from your own power supply or from the TV. Overall, a very good suggestion.

For the money, it's great. The only strange thing is that it cuts off the output when there is no waveform to reproduce. It's probably due to the toslink protocol, where they want a base white noise.

It does not support DTS Dolby, only PCM, so if the program is in DTS Dolby format, there is no sound....

It works well. I have it with optical input and RCA output, connected to computer speakers with a subwoofer. The sound is very good.
The volume control remote is very convenient and the bass control is welcome, although you have to adjust it carefully for the desired result.
The USB port it has can be connected to a PS5, but the sound quality is poor, with low volume and loud hissing. Too bad. That's why I removed 1 star from the rating.
The packaging does not include a power supply.
It includes optical fiber, a USB cable for power supply from a charger, and a cable with 2 USB male ends at the ends which was used to connect to the PS5.

It does what it says in the description easily and simply. I connected it to the TV with an optical cable and selected the mini jack 3.5mm as the output. The good thing is that my father can listen normally through headphones at the volume he wants, while I can listen to the sound from the TV speakers at the volume I want, since the volume is controlled separately and not simultaneously. Of course, you don't expect surround sound or crazy volume, but this also depends on the headphones or speakers you connect to it.

For its price, it is excellent. It is connected to a media PC and provides input to a pretty good home theater. Where it needs some attention is in adjusting the bass, so that the system does not overload.

It does what it promises, but its problem, like all these devices I have tried, is that it reduces the volume of the source. However, it is noticeably better than anything else I have tried. Overall, it is worth its money.

I recently acquired the device and I am very satisfied because it works perfectly and solved a problem that had been bothering me for years. Specifically, I was able to connect headphones (3.5mm) to my Samsung TV, which does not have this capability by default. I would also like to note that the volume adjustment feature of the converter is useful in case the headphones do not have such a switch.

It does what it promises. There is no delay in the sound and its quality sounds good. A big plus is the bass adjustment. Also, it is small so it doesn't bother.

I bought it to connect my laptop via USB to an old amplifier with RCA, because there is a "hissing" sound when using the mini-jack. It is nice, lightweight, of average construction, and it does indeed do what it promises, without needing drivers on Windows 7 where I connected it. It did the job for me, but I give it 4 stars for the following reasons:
a) The volume control is unnecessary because you have to turn it all the way up to reach the volume that the laptop provides. In other words, the volume control does not amplify the sound and it should not exist because it confuses the user.
b) I also find the bass control unnecessary, as when it is closed, the sound has no bass at all and you have to adjust it around 50-60% for it to sound properly. Of course, after 70-80%, it becomes too overpowering.
