The AC21 by Tenda is a router that distributes internet access to other devices, either wirelessly or via cable. It is a Wi-Fi 5 generation, the most widespread Wi-Fi standard, meeting the needs of most users for now. The next generation Wi-Fi 6 is recognized, which offers the ability to connect more devices.
The device emits a signal on two frequencies:
- 2.4GHz: Predominant frequency with a wide range.
- 5GHz: Provides higher speed but is more sensitive to obstacles.
The device supports VPN (Virtual Private Network) setup, offering anonymity and access to geographically restricted content. Certified VPN services are usually paid with a subscription.
With MAC address filtering, it allows specific devices to connect based on their unique MAC address.
It offers WPA2 security, using AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) technology, which is approved by the US government for confidential documents and is considered secure for home use.
