Greek cinema came silently into the world in a picturesque Greek village (1905), "descended" to the capital to have more opportunities in his life (1906-1913), took his first amateur and unskilled steps by articulating his first "sounds" (1914-1928), formulated his first meanings and began to know himself (1929-1941), entered the period of his first significant creations (1944-1949), joined production, established himself and flourished (1950-1965), reached the peak of his performance (1966-1970) and then moved on to reflection and introspection of maturity (1971-1985), decline (1986-1992) and closed the cycle with his rebirth (1993-2005).
