“The publication of medical texts was not, of course, an entirely new experience for the Athenian book market. Initially, the authors themselves published their works. There were also some 'bold' publishers who occasionally attempted to produce medical publications, despite knowing the high risk of their initiative, as such publications had high production costs and very limited chances of commercial success, since they were aimed at a relatively small reading audience.

As we mark 68 years since Grigoris Parisianos launched his venture, we realize how much strength of character it took to embark on such an endeavor.

Grigoris Parisianos is no longer with us to see and take pride in his achievement. But all those who continue his work faithfully follow his example and are proud of it.”
