Description

DEWALT DWS520KR Plunge Circular Saw

Capable of precise cuts with the parallel plunge that allows the user to maintain a steady hand position during cutting. It features a 48-tooth blade that provides precision finishing with very minimal surface chipping on melamines. The parallel cutting guide ensures the correct adjustment of the tool on the guide rail.

The anti-kickback function prevents the tool from moving backward, keeping the tool's position on the rail and within the material during the plunge. The variable speed allows for adjusting the RPM for cutting various materials.

The electronic speed control provides consistent RPM when the tool is under heavy load. The guard provides 90% dust extraction capability. With a cutting depth of 55 mm, it allows work on the most common door sizes.

I have had the tool for six months. I haven't used it many times, but I have been impressed with it. It leaves a fantastic finish on the cut that even large professional miter saws cannot achieve. It cuts with excellent precision and vertically without any deviation. The use of a guide rail is necessary for completely straight cuts. It has a very good grip, sturdy construction, and excellent build quality. It has many settings that are not tiring or difficult to adjust, and they increase the tool's flexibility. I highly recommend it. It is one of Dewalt's very good tools. It would be good to also purchase the other accessories besides the guide rail, as they are sometimes necessary and not secondary.

The only thing that might give you a little trouble is the first cut where the excess rubber of the guide rail starts, in terms of starting to cut from the beginning of the rubber. There, you will need to use an angled guide to guide the circular saw from the beginning, as at the start, in order to cut from the beginning of the rubber, the entire circular saw does not rest on the guide rail, and the guide will initially guide it until the entire sole rests on the guide rail.
