Description

Two decades have passed since the Prime Evils, Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal, spilled their blood and desecrated the world of Sanctuary, corrupting humanity with their diabolical presence. However, for those who fought against the Ancient Evil, the memories of these events are slow to fade.

When Deckard Cain returns to the ruins of the Tristram Cathedral, seeking clues to defeat the new schemes of Evil, a fiery harbinger of doom falls from the heavens, crashing into the very ground where Diablo once entered the world. This fire from the sky will awaken the Prime Evil and call upon the heroes of Sanctuary to defend once again the mortal realm against the relentless forces of the Burning Hells.

I expected more from years of anticipation. I got it a little while after its release and I can't say that I was particularly impressed. The only good thing was that I played it with my wife and a couple of friends, so we didn't get bored. It was annoying when you were creating your character and had accumulated a lot of paragon. I don't recommend the game without the expansion because now it's just boring, not that you won't get bored with it after countless rifts, bounties, etc. It's just that with adventure mode, you don't care about the story, only about how to build your character. However, constantly chasing new gear becomes boring again. And the seasons are relatively short, so if you don't invest a lot of time and the current season ends, all your effort goes to waste. The only good thing is that it doesn't require a subscription.

The game became better with the expansion, but for me it became tiresome after a certain point and the repetition of the game in the seasons. Apart from that, it's worth having in your collection.

4 stars due to the continuous internet connection.. Otherwise, it's a great game that reminded me of the good old days of Diablo.. However, because of the online aspect, it made me hesitate for 3 years before deciding to get it, something that the removal of the auction house finally tipped the scales in favor of giving it a try...

For those who have played the 1st one before... about 20 years ago, they will be moved by the memories it will awaken in them! Well, I'm an RPG fan, no matter how many online games like Drakensang, LoL, etc. I have played, none of them gave me the satisfaction of the complete Diablo III. Dark underworld complete, it can be played over and over again for years!
One small downside is the character upgrade system where it no longer gives you points to distribute as you wish.

  • Quite a good game it will prove of course with time. The old Diablo fans may be disappointed as the game has become quite simplistic and easy.

There may have been some issues on the day of release regarding the connection to the battlenet servers, but the game itself offers an unparalleled experience. Highly recommended!

Attention: The game requires a constant internet connection even if someone wants to play single player!

Compared to other hack and slash games of our time, many of them free-to-play, and especially compared to the prequel Diablo 2, Diablo 3 falls short in all aspects. I wouldn't recommend it to a seasoned gamer, let alone those who have played Diablo 2. Diablo 3 is good for those who are not hardcore gamers but rather play games solely for the storyline (softcore).
