The Aku EGA GTX women's hiking boots feature a natural leather upper and a GORE-TEX Insulated Comfort membrane, designed for activities in rain, snow, and cold weather. The membrane prevents water and snow from getting in while allowing sweat to escape, and the insulated lining protects feet from the cold. They are suitable for hiking in low temperatures and at low activity levels.

The Vibram outsole, made from a rubber and EVA compound, maintains ground contact and provides stability on wet surfaces. The IMS system in the midsole absorbs shock and supports the foot, limiting sideways and forward movement. The toe protector reduces wear from friction.
