Description

Description

Serving the art and science of chanting through the combination of practice and theory, we offer our research to the music-loving audience. A music lesson of theoretical and interpretive requirements, which due to its duration is not presented as much in the worship space of the Orthodox Church as in concert activities related to the musical wealth of our chanting heritage. The danger of musical lessons of similar duration being forgotten led us to make this edition, which is presented in a way that we consider sufficient and capable of being a general method of research study for members of our chanting art.

Brief comments on the life and work of the composer, as well as a series of summary information about the basic characteristics of the poetic text of the lesson, are followed by a detailed analysis for the study of the functionality of the musical elements of the work and by morphological analysis for the study of the structure of the musical composition. In this edition, all the information about the music lesson "Apas Gigenis" is provided collectively to the music community, offering flexible access to information.
