Description

Description

  • It can be widely used for detecting NPN and PNP transistors, capacitors, resistors, diodes, triodes, N-channel and P-channel MOSFETs, IGBTs, JFETs, triacs, and batteries, etc.
  • It can also be used to detect infrared waveforms.
  • It can also detect zener diodes and has a self-calibration function.
  • After detection, align the infrared remote control with the "IR" light, then press the button on the remote control. If the detector successfully decodes it, it will display the data code and infrared waveform.
  • One-button operation, automatic detection and shutdown, and you can press the multi-function button to turn off the detector as well.
  • Place the component pins in the corresponding area, then type the small handle, and the detector will automatically test it. Finally, the results will be displayed clearly on the backlit TFT screen.
  • Unlike the usual black and white screen, this detector will display color results.

Very good for the money, but WARNING it does not work with Germanium transistors due to high leakage. It shows them as diodes.

It has everything. I see several other expensive LCR meters that do not recognize transistors.
On this device, if we short-circuit pins 1, 2, and 3, the self-calibration process starts, and after a while, it asks us on the screen to remove the probe for the short-circuit so the process can be completed. For this purpose, a triple pin-bridge is included.
We never connect charged capacitors. They can burn out the meter. On the lower pins labeled K and A, we can connect the cathode and anode of a Zener diode from 5V to 30V reverse polarity. If we accidentally connect a capacitor there, we may charge it to a high potential and then, if we connect it directly to the correct pins without discharging it first, we may burn out the meter. The meter turns off automatically as there is no off button.
Some complain that the meter may break quickly without much use. As a solution, it is suggested to remove the battery for a few minutes so that the ATmega328 microcontroller can restart.
