The Intellinet 508216 converter connects networks via one Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port and one SFP slot. It supports PoE+ in accordance with IEEE 802.3at and IEEE 802.3af, as well as Link Fault Pass Through (LFP). The SFP slot accepts a Mini GBIC module, which is not included, and supports connections over distances of up to 120 km.

The Ethernet port supports full-duplex and half-duplex, automatic speed negotiation, and MDI/MDI-X. Indicator lights show power, link and activity, as well as PoE operation.
