The eccentric English aristocrat Phileas Fogg bets that he can circumnavigate the globe in 80 days, at a time when the fastest means of transportation were the train and the steamboat. Accompanied by his loyal servant Passepartout, he will travel incredible distances on a frantic journey, unaware that a secret policeman is monitoring his every move. The reader thus has the chance to get to know unfamiliar places, strange peoples, and to experience countless thrilling incidents alongside the heroes.
