Since the beginning of the last century, the art and secrets of making traditional tsipouro with copper stills have traveled along with the Krommyda family from the mountainous villages of Mourganas in Thesprotia.
In 1947, Charalambos Krommydas relocated to Vasiliki, Trikala, where he continued to make the finest tsipouro, which became known as Kalaitzis's tsipouro.
Today, his grandchildren continue to produce their grandfather's famous tsipouro with the same name, the same secrets, and the same passion.
It is made from excellent grape varieties with intense fruity citrus aromas, giving Kalaitzis tsipouro its unique taste with a smooth, aromatic finish.
