Renos' Memory Album

Flip through the pages of Renos' album: you will find photos from his travels, his friends, and his musical adventures – his sweetest memories!

The phenomenon series that has already been loved in Greece, with translations into 22 languages and 1.4 million copies sold worldwide.

For years, Patakis Publishers have been pioneers in the category of sound books with a large, carefully selected collection for your children's first steps in reading and music. Books that help children unfold both their emotions and their talents.

Key Features

  • Theme: Music, Sounds, Musical instruments, Friendship

  • Style: Interactive, cheerful and full of melodies.

  • Age: 3–7 years old

Suitable for:

  • For children who show their first signs of love for music, rhythm, and sounds.
  • A perfect interactive book to keep the child engaged, combining reading with auditory play.
  • Ideal for a first introduction to the sounds of different musical instruments.

Why This Book Is Special:

  • 24 Unique Melodies: It is a book-orchestra! With 24 different sound buttons, the music never stops.
  • Sensory Development: Enhances the child's auditory perception by connecting the image of the instrument with its sound.
  • Sound Quality: The book features (according to the description) excellent sound quality, making the experience enjoyable.
  • Interactive Experience: The child is not a passive listener. They press, listen, participate, and learn through play.
  • Cheerful Illustration: The images are lively and friendly, immediately capturing the attention of young readers.

Suggestions for use by parents or educators:

  • Use it to cultivate your child's auditory memory by pressing a sound and asking them to guess which instrument produces it.
  • Include it in playtime routine as a trigger for... dancing! Let the child choose the melodies and move freely to the rhythm.

  • Ideal for developing fine motor skills, as the child practices aiming and pressing the specific sound buttons.

With the book you can:

  • Discuss: How we feel when we listen to music (joy, calmness, excitement). What is the difference between a piano and a violin?
  • Ask the child: “What is your favorite sound from the book?”, “Can you find the trumpet?”, “What kind of music do you think Renos would play if he was sad?”
  • Play/Imitate: Try to imitate the sounds of the instruments with your voice (e.g. "doo-doo-doo" for the trumpet) or play "invisible orchestra", pretending to play the instruments you hear.

We have the whole book taped up with cellophane tape as the pages are extremely thin and easy to tear, but I will still give it a good rating as it keeps the baby's interest for a very long time

Overall, Rhenos is a nice series and has nice music, but a 1.5-year-old child cannot easily press the "buttons" to play music, which results in them getting frustrated. The pages are thin. Ok, they don't tear that easily but that also depends on the child.

The music icons are a bit hard for the child's weak little fingers to press, but the book is excellent... And its graphics catch the child's eye even if they don't pay attention to the melodies.

  • We love this specific series, as it has proven to be the most durable over time. However, it does require a little attention to prevent the pages from tearing. This particular book is one of our favorites, as it brings together a variety of music genres that Renos deals with!

We have bought the entire series. They are very nice music books. The only downside is that they are a bit expensive, especially their batteries.

I only have good things to say. We already have two. This and the rock. My son is about 3.5 years old, he doesn't separate from it, he takes it with him to kindergarten and they 'read' it together with the other children and teachers. He has learned to recognize a lot of musical instruments, he has learned about Mozart, opera, that London has Big Ben, etc. But the most important thing is that he prefers it over the mobile phone, which we don't want him to hold for a long time. The only drawback might be that its batteries don't last long, so you need to have bought some more. It takes 3 small AG10 batteries.
