The educational series Dr S T E M aims to assist educators and students (ages 8 and up) in engaging with "STE(A)M skills," as required by the 21st Century Economy and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and to develop Mind Skills with an emphasis on Computational Thinking.

The proposed educational activities presented in the first book of the series The Smart Greenhouse in the Skills Lab are implemented through a holistic STE(A)M approach with the following goals:

• the mastery of fundamental knowledge about plant organisms,
• the use of sensors and actuators in the construction of a smart greenhouse,
• the use of the micro:bit computational platform,
• the development of code,
• familiarization with study, design, development, and evaluation processes.
