Description

Description

The Mercusys MR30G is aimed at home users and small businesses that need a reliable and affordable wireless router for their home or office. It is a good performance option for basic internet connection needs such as web browsing, sending emails, downloading files, and video streaming.

It offers wireless connectivity with speeds up to 867 Mbps in the 5 GHz band, and features four Ethernet ports for wired device connections such as computers, gaming consoles, and printers. Additionally, it includes features like Quality of Service (QoS) for managing broadband flow, password-protected access, and advanced security functions to protect your network.

AC1200 Gigabit Speeds

Dual Band WiFi provides fast connections for all devices

Compliant with the powerful 802.11ac standard, the MR30G delivers blazing-fast WiFi speeds of up to 1.2 Gbps. Choose the 2.4 GHz band (300 Mbps) that transmits signals with better wall penetration for longer distances as you browse the internet, send an email to a colleague, or share a link on social media. When streaming HD video, gaming, or performing other high-bandwidth tasks, select the 5 GHz band (867 Mbps), which provides higher speeds with less interference.

MU-MIMO Technology

More devices connected simultaneously

A traditional router has to queue your devices when there are many connections at the same time, causing congestion throughout the network.

However, with MU-MIMO technology, the MR30G communicates with multiple devices simultaneously, so connected devices achieve faster speeds than standard AC routers, improving network efficiency.

High-gain antennas with beamforming

Targeted signals that penetrate walls

Four external high-gain 5 dBi antennas with well-designed internal structures significantly enhance transmission performance, covering more rooms. Advanced Beamforming technology automatically detects wireless devices and forms targeted, highly efficient wireless connections, making your connections more stable.

Powerful Signal Boosters

Powerful WiFi signals throughout your home

The MR30G unleashes the full potential of your network by boosting signal transmission with power amplifiers and accelerating signal capture with low-noise amplifiers. This means that your home WiFi has improved range and full signal strength for every device.

Wired Gigabit Speeds

Full Gigabit ports for computers, IPTV, and gaming consoles

Equipped with full Gigabit ports, which are 10× faster than Ethernet ports, the MR30G transfers data at dizzying speeds for top performance. Connect your computers, IPTV, and gaming consoles to the MR30G for strong stability.

Easily manage your home network

Parental control

  • Establish appropriate policies to protect children for responsible and safe internet access

Guest network

  • Allows guests to join your WiFi network - while protecting your privacy - making sharing easy and secure

Quality of service

  • Prioritizes the devices you choose for better performance

Set up as an access point, it receives internet from a Mercusys H50G two floors above with a 15-meter cat5e cable. It provides internet to a room of about 45 square meters. I set the H50G to give it a maximum speed of 100 because the room is used for short-term rental (the H50G works as a router receiving from Starlink in bypass mode). It permanently has an air conditioner, android TV, and a switch for yard lights connected to it. Uninterrupted operation without issues. Signal is quite good, compact size although the antennas bother me a bit. Remote control to see who connected, you can grant and revoke access to anyone you want. Given the dirt-cheap price, it is an excellent choice. All interested parties can proceed without fear.

For the very little money it costs, it is more than fair, of course. Very nice and an app for Android to control it remotely.

If you have up to a 300 Mbps line, buy it without hesitation, it will do the job. If you have 500 Mbps and above, choose something better.
    I saw a maximum of 410 Mbps at 5GHz

Very easy installation, the 5G wifi clearly achieves better speeds, has a DHCP server, and assigns internal IP addresses, very stable for 2 months now.

The cheapest gigabit router purchased at the time. Nice software. It has been working for over a month on a 200Mbps line and it doesn't lose speed, neither wired nor wireless. Very small in size compared to other routers and it does its job.
