The HDMI Ethernet Channel technology combines video, audio, and data streams into a single HDMI cable and allows for high-speed networking. The audio return channel enables a TV connected via HDMI with a built-in receiver to send audio data "back" to a surround sound system. It supports 3D images via HDMI and all HDTV formats. In addition to RGB color and x.v.Color, it supports three additional color spaces, allowing for better color performance on an HDTV.
